Our Pride Inclusion Network have been supporting activities in Rolls-Royce SMR throughout June as we recognised Pride Month. From discussions on the impact of hidden diversity to hearing directly from LGBTQ colleagues on their lived experiences, Pride have given us the opportunity to understand what more we can do to embed a culture that helps us all thrive. But the highlight of Pride Month was hearing from Matt Lindley. Matt talked about his career in the Royal Air Force at a time when it was illegal to be himself, and how that affected his performance and mental health. Hearing this first-hand was incredibly impactful for our colleagues, who took away a strong message on the importance of inclusive cultures and supportive leaders, both of which we will need to deliver our company mission of clean, affordable energy for all. Thank you to Matt and our Pride Inclusion Network for their dedication over the last month. June marked Pride Month, which focuses on acceptance, equality and celebrating LGBTQ people. You can see how we celebrated through the month below. Obviously inclusion isn’t just for one month, but Pride Month puts a spotlight on the community. It allows LGBTQ people and allies of the community to not only celebrate inclusion, but also reflect on its history, raise awareness on issues faced by the community and educate on LGBTQ topics. As a team, it’s vital that everyone feels welcome and safe at our factories in Brackley and Brixworth and can be their true selves. But, more widely, we want F1 to be an environment that is for everyone – whether you want to be an engineer, a designer, a wind tunnel operator or a driver. It’s not just about making our current team members feel valued and authentic at work; Pride Month is an opportunity to show members of the external community that working in F1 is possible whatever your background. Inspiring the next generation of team employees. Pride Month: How We Celebrated in 2024 > https://lnkd.in/eb-G3dCg

It's shameful to see Harley-Davidson Motor Company turn its back on its customers and cave to MAGA bullies. Our Corporate Equality Index is the leading benchmarking tool for companies, measuring benefits and initiatives crucial to LGBTQ employees and customers. We continue to see record-breaking company engagement, especially at a time when nearly 30% of Gen Z adults identify as LGBTQ and our community holds $1.4 trillion in spending power. Harley-Davidson Motor Company should remain committed to its core values and reject divisive rhetoric. Retreating from these principles undermines both consumer trust and employee success. https://lnkd.in/esR4DV2f

Happy Pride Month! 🌈🎉 This June, we’re celebrating Ramboll employees all over the world who are part of the LGBTQ community, and we’re emphasising actions we can all take to be their active allies. Today, we shine the spotlight on Jess Dimond, Engineer at our Edinburgh office and a member of our LGBTQ Allies Network. She discusses what allyship really looks like, what people often misunderstand about allyship, and how we can advance allyship in the workplace. “In a work context at least, allyship is all the effort that goes towards ensuring emotional, physical, and mental health and safety. It means being active in supporting and advocating for marginalised individuals and disrupting the status quo and the cycle of inequity… …Allyship isn’t a perfect process. It requires a lot of iteration. We’re all fallible. And it’s not about pointing out when someone’s wrong or right but trying to learn and understand our very diverse experiences. Being willing to learn, adapt, engage with intention, and actively listen.” It’s because of initiatives like our LGBTQ Allies Network that create an inclusive workplace for every employee, that we have been recognised by The Times who included Ramboll UK in their best places to work 2024 list. Successful companies stay true to their values and business imperative to welcome more people to the table, not walk away when it gets noisy and hard. Coors is throwing away decades of effort to regain the trust of LGBTQ and ally employees and consumers. Corporate responsibility demands a laser focus on the reality that our world is already more diverse and inclusive. Thriving businesses always invite more people to belong and be respected, in every move they make.

Pride Month is when the LGBTQ community comes together and celebrates diversity, equality, identity, its rights and, above all, its pride. The construction industry is committed to embracing diversity, equality and inclusion, and creating a working environment where the LGBTQ community can not only feel respected and safe, but thrive and succeed. Research has shown that making the workplace more inclusive for LGBTQ employees brings many business benefits, including: ▶️ Better job satisfaction and productivity among all staff ▶️ Wider choice when recruiting staff ▶️ Better staff retention ▶️ Improved company reputation. A structured approach to develop fairness, inclusion and respect in construction companies has been provided by the CITB’s Be Fair Framework. As we celebrate Pride Month, it’s worth noting the significance of diversity and inclusion in the maritime industry. Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are focused on making sure everyone has the same opportunity to succeed. It’s not about disrespecting the contributions of others. It is about acknowledging and addressing systemic inequalities that have persisted over time. The goal is to create a more inclusive and fairer environment where everyone is valued and respected. Pride Month is a time to honor and celebrate the LGBTQ community, recognizing the contributions and talents they bring to all sectors, including maritime. Diversity is essential for innovation and progress. By fostering an inclusive environment within Washington State Ferries and the maritime industry at large, we can better serve our communities and navigate towards a brighter future together. As Global Inclusion Week unfolds, I am reminded of the incredible power of diversity and the profound impact it has on our communities and workplaces. I am passionate about building an environment where everyone feels valued and respected, embracing all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. This commitment is especially significant as we also celebrate Pride Month, a time to honor the LGBTQ community and acknowledge the ongoing journey toward equality and acceptance. Pride Month is a powerful reminder that inclusivity is not just about recognizing differences but about celebrating them and ensuring everyone has a seat at the table. Inclusion is more than a policy or a program—it's a mindset that we must nurture every day. It's about creating spaces where diverse perspectives are not only welcomed but are integral to our collective success. I encourage everyone to take a moment this week to reflect on how we can all contribute to a more inclusive world. Let’s continue to support one another and champion diversity in all its forms. Here's to a week of learning, growing, and embracing the beauty of our differences. Happy Inclusion Week and Pride Month! 🌈 #GlobalInclusionWeek #PrideMonth #Diversity #Inclusion #Belonging

🌈Happy Pride Month! 🌟 As we celebrate love and equality, it’s crucial to remember that being an ally to the LGBTQ community goes beyond rainbow flags and parades. Here are some ways we can all make a difference: 1. **Educate Yourself** – Take time to understand the history, struggles, and victories of LGBTQ rights. Knowledge is the first step towards empathy. 2. **Speak Up** – Use your voice to stand against homophobia, transphobia, and discrimination. Silence often means complicity. 3. **Support LGBTQ Businesses** – This month, and every month, choose to support businesses owned by LGBTQ individuals. 4. **Respect Pronouns** – Something as simple as using the correct pronouns can make a world of difference in making everyone feel accepted. 5. **Attend Events** – Whether virtual or in-person, participating in Pride events shows solidarity and helps fund various LGBTQ causes. At Turnberry Solutions, we strive to create a more inclusive world, not just during Pride Month but every day. #PrideMonth #LGBTQSupport #BeAnAlly #LoveIsLove

Closing the gender gap in the manufacturing industry is a big challenge. When GRUNDFOS, a leading pump manufacturer, implemented a massive DEI initiative, it not only boosted representation and advancement of its women employees, it also fostered greater inclusion and diversity for LGBTQ staff and workers with disabilities.
