PRAXM is celebrating its 5th anniversary! 🎉To reflect on our incredible journey, we have asked some of our team members to showcase the core values that truly define PRAXM. Jonelle Sheffer, CAM, Senior Property Manager, shared the following about PRAXM’s community: "As a Legacy Employee of PRAXM, the value of community holds significance in my journey here. At PRAXM, community is the foundation of everything we do. We don't only manage communities; we create homes where people can truly thrive. It means actively engaging with our residents, understanding their needs, and working together to make positive impacts. For me, embodying the value of community reflects my dedication to fostering genuine connections and making a difference where I live and work. Every step we take at PRAXM is rooted in our belief that a strong community is the foundation for a brighter future." 🌟 #PRAXMProud #PRAXM #FiveYears #Annivesary #PRAXMturns5 #AnniversaryCelebration #Community #OurValues #PRAXMAnniversary5

European expansion continues... Not just more dots on the map, but another step closer to shorting the time it takes to get medicine from the laboratory to the pharmacy and into the hands of the patients in need of them. #velocityclinical #velocityeurope #velocityglobal #onevelocity #clinicalresearch #clinicaltrials #ricksrocketship 🚀

Strategic Advisor & Support for C-level, Business & Gov Leaders w/ a focus on Participatory Design and Leadership
I remember hearing a lot about "developing more leaders", or "increasing the amount of leadership at all levels of the organization" when I used to work in government back in the day. I would get pretty cynical about it, since it was usually a message that came from mid- and upper- management... the staff who were excluded from the union, and who were charged with managing and leading. It always felt like a way to squeeze more productivity and capacity from unionized and mid-management folks who were already stretched thin ("how could I possibly also lead? - that's your job!"), or from underutilized staff who were disconnected from the work that was driving along a critical path ("what exactly am I supposed to 'lead' on, anyways?!") That message: "more leaders, everywhere" felt disingenuous because I was hearing it from within the old system, and had yet to unlearn its ways so as to better understand the true message beneath it (the one the speakers deep-down-inside probably felt): "More humans, everywhere." But again, I couldn't see that until I was outside of it all, and actively experimenting and practising with alt. ways of working - together with other humans - and bringing those same practices to other individuals, orgs and systems that were ready. And funny enough, this is fundamentally about alienated labour - recovering old and forgotten ways of working together, discovering new ones, and unlearning dominant paradigms and practices. The path out of this is the path out of our own estrangement from our labours - which, in turn, is an estrangement from our humanness (and more/other than- humanness). (cf. Marx) Join us at Greaterthan for some juicy sessions on what we've learned by doing - in our own system and by supporting others. We aim to have small sessions to get some juicy convos and practices going - individuals are welcome, and we also have sessions for teams. Come step into our tiny tent :) (which is really the biggest tent in the world!! - it's for all of us, everywhere, as we grapple with the challenges of our complexity and big transitions, always already underway... and seek to recover our humanity in the process)
At Greaterthan, we are gearing up for our annual Solstice Jamboree! ☀ And, this year, it is going to be different💐 For the last three years, the Jamboree has been about Greaterthan inviting our collaborators and friends from far and wide to pull up their caravans, play and work together with us and you. This year is going to be about spending a whole month discovering the mysteries within the Greaterthan Tent, a space designed to immerse you in the heart of our work, with each other, ourselves, and our clients! 🎊 Yes, you heard it right...this year, there is only one tent, the one set up by Greaterthan itself!!!🎪 Our intention is to give you an experience of the what, how and why of our work from three perspectives: 1. In the GT System - Governance, Money, Experiments, Structure, Proposals, Purpose 2. GT and "other ways of knowing" - Complexity, Trauma Informed Practice, Money! 3. GT from and in the field - Field Guides, Retreats, Cohort Based Learning, Practical Decision Making, What it’s like to work with us So, come join us!! There are already many sessions lined up for you to grab your spot, and we only have 12 seats per session!!! 💥 https://lnkd.in/g6_anu7 Susan Basterfield Stefan Morales David Weingartner ⚡️Miriam Moreno Bellido ⚡️Manel Heredero Francesca Pick Anna Teresa Kopacz Melinda Varfi Ashish Arora Elena Denaro Alícia Trepat Pont Lucia Die Gil Mary O'Keeffe Nenad Maljković Ria Baeck Tomomi Sasaki J.D. Recently, I read a study about how time is perceived differently at various ages. For the young, time stretches long; as we age, it seems to accelerate. This rings true for me, especially when I realize GBB is already 5 years old - it feels like it happened in the blink of an eye! Just the other day, a dear colleague who was one of the first hires at GBB left the company. During one of our recent management meetings, she shared photos and memories from her time here. It was a blend of heartwarming memories and tough wartime struggles, many of which I had forgotten. It's remarkable to think that up to 60% of startups fail within their first five years. Yet here we are at GBB, not just surviving but flourishing. Over these years, we've developed and launched three first-in-class technology platforms in the CMC space, evolved from a pure R&D entity into a revenue-generating business, and forged partnerships with over 40 global and domestic partners, including two of the largest cell culture media companies in the world. We're even starting to be known as 'The company who can express hard-to-express proteins, no other company can' – particularly true for our work with bi-specific/multi-specific antibody production. These milestones are a testament to the hard work of colleagues like the one who just departed. I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to all our present and past employees who have contributed to GBB’s vision. Despite the challenging economic climate, I believe that GBB has the right leadership, culture, and technological edge to weather the storm and emerge even stronger. The story continues, and I am excited about what the next five years will bring!
Happy 5th anniversary to GBB. 🎉 May it continue to excel in the years to come. 🙌 #GreatBayBio #GBB #anniversary #celebration #team

Had the incredible opportunity to spend last weekend with my son (William) at a Father/Son camp at Alpine Camp for Boys. Can't say enough about the camp (what a beautiful campus!), the staff, college counselors and the experience they helped create. Had a few aha moments as we drove home on Sunday: - 1:1 with your children - how incredibly important it is to take the time to spend that 1:1 time with each of your children. - Eliminating distractions - it's so hard to do this but intentionally having those moments to focus (whether at home or work). - Bringing this back to my team - so many great lessons I'm bringing back to my team at SCA Health: 1. The value of working together as a team 2. The importance of those 1:1 connections within my team 3. Creating a great culture that encourages providing excellent service to our teams, customers, stakeholders (much like the staff, counselors did for us this weekend).
