Ti6Al4V is a standard alloy used in additive manufacturing for multiple industries such as aerospace, medical implants and others. Here we have done LPBF 4-phase multiphase modeling for detailed melt pool and defect analysis for a two-track single-layer scan pattern. The Manufacturing Technology Project, or MTP, has developed a long list of computational packages equipped with FEM, FDM, Meshless, and discrete numerical methods for process and performance modeling in advanced manufacturing and will release them one by one.
