On June 7th, our summer interns and their mentors joined forces with the Roc Solid Foundation to sponsor a special build for a brave 3-year-old battling leukemia. Together, our team transformed his backyard into a playground paradise. Seeing the new playset, the family was overjoyed and immediately got to business playing. “It was an unforgettable day filled with hard work, teamwork, and countless smiles. I think our efforts not only brought joy and hope but helped provide a safe haven for him and his family to heal and create cherished memories," said Betsy Treece, Training and Development Coordinator at Rodgers. Roc Solid’s Play it Forward program invites sponsor groups to build custom playsets in the backyards of kids fighting cancer. Led by Roc Solid build leaders, these are organized team-building events inviting sponsor groups to come together for a morning of volunteering. The playset is built in just a few hours, followed by a reveal to the child’s family. Thank you to the Roc Solid Foundation for connecting us with this family and giving us the opportunity to build a space where kids can do what they love most – play! #CommunityWithCare #OurPassionIsBuilding

In a world where challenges loom large, the power of collective resilience shines brighter than ever. The recent Dolphins Challenge Cancer event is a prime example of this strength, rallying 6,702 individuals to raise an impressive $12 million. This huge effort beat last year's amount and reached the target of $75 million for the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center earlier than expected! It's incredible to witness such a phenomenal success. It is a testament to the unstoppable spirit of the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium leadership and each participant who turned adversity into victory together. Their collective resilience has powered a movement that's met one of the most ambitious donation goals in sports history, showing the world what's possible when we unite for a common cause. "One team. One fight." The resilience, unity, and strength displayed are truly inspiring. Stephen D. Nimer, M.D., put it well when he said, "Thanks to the unwavering support from the South Florida community and our amazing partnership with the Miami Dolphins, we've been able to achieve so much at Sylvester, pushing the boundaries of cancer research." When you focus your efforts on a goal, you're bound to succeed. Well done, Miami Dolphins! This event has made a real impact in the fight to save lives. #Community #Resilience #Teamwork #MiamiDolphins #CancerResearch

My 90-seconds of fame. It was such an honor and privilege to represent the V Foundation on ESPN during the Jimmy V Classic Basketball tournament. I got to jump hoops at Madison Square Garden but most importantly got to witness first hand the commitment that V foundation has to raise funds for cancer research. I proudly wore my University of Wisconsin-Madison Badgers Jersey. 💡 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT 💡 This month, we’re featuring The University of Texas at Austin student and Philanthropy Chair of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity, Andrew Wilson. This year, he helped lead his chapter to raise over $20,000 to fight #ChildhoodCancer. Keep reading to learn more about Andrew’s involvement and dedication to the cause. Q: Why is fighting childhood cancer with B important to you? A: Each member of our ZBT chapter has been personally affected by cancer, whether through a family member or a friend. Our engagement with The B Foundation in the fight against childhood cancer is deeply meaningful to us. It goes beyond just providing essential support and funding for research; it cultivates a sense of unity and shared mission within our chapter, bringing us together for a profoundly noble and impactful endeavor. Q: What are you most looking forward to about your chapter’s partnership with B ? A: This year we welcomed our B Hero, Valentin, into our ZBT chapter. Spending time with our youngest and newest member has been a great experience. As we enter the second semester, we are very excited to create more memorable and enjoyable moments with Valentin and his family. We are also committed to intensifying our fundraising efforts to support even more families! Q: What is your best fundraising tip? A: My top fundraising advice is to choose an organization that genuinely resonates with you. When you're deeply invested in the cause, fundraising becomes more effortless and fulfilling, as you share a strong connection with the outcome that benefits the recipients.
