March is #LongCovidAwarenessMonth! Long Covid has affected more than 18 million Americans alone (🙋♀️ hi), a number which will only grow with the CDC's new weakened guidelines against covid transmission. The folks at The Sick Times, a non-profit news org dedicated to covering this ongoing crisis, have a goal of raising $15k this month to unlock a 1:1 challenge match from a generous funder. This means that every gift will be doubled -- $10 becomes $20, $100 becomes $200, and so on. I'm supporting The Sick Times because their coverage is excellent and necessary. What's more, media coverage of the LC crisis is a key part of how we'll see ourselves through this, and how we'll prevent more people from becoming disabled and chronically ill. I hope you'll join me in supporting TST in honor of #LongCovidAwarenessMonth! LFG!!!!! 💪 https://lnkd.in/e6idt3_y

Did you know the biggest threat to a will with a gift to charity in it? Well... it's the amount time elapsed between the will and the date of death (thanks Legacy Link for that gem). The second biggest though is challenge on the basis of lack of Testamentary Capacity. We at Capacity Vault are proud to be a Remember A Charity Champion. this RAC week. If you want to leave a substantial gift in your will that you think might be challenged, use Capacity Vault to mitigate the chance of challenge against your capacity! #mentalcapacity #willsandprobate #testamentarycapacity #legacygiving

👏Congratulations to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago for a successful event and to Nicolas Michuda and Sydney for conquering the challenge! Let's get to work....all the way to the top! 💡 Here are some fun facts regarding stairs for architects and contractors: ➡ The Roman architect Vitruvius established the first guidelines for the stair in the first century B.C, suggesting a 37-degree pitch. Most stairs are not dramatically different today. ➡ The 19th century is regarded by many as the golden era of stair construction. In the 20th century architects gave prominence to lifts. Now, with the emergence of ‘active design’, architects are once again making stairs more prominent. #climbhigher
Scaling heights for a heartwarming cause! Our Project Manager, Nicolas Michuda, and his fiancé, Sydney, conquered 80 floors at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Aon Step Up for Kids event! Their climb supports young patients and their families at Lurie’s Children’s with proceeds benefiting K.I.D.S.S. for Kids, Inc. Together, we’re making a difference, one step at a time!
