Globally, the number of people diagnosed and living with brain disorders continues to rise. But what is not so evident is the financial and social cost to families and economies. In 2019, $1.2 trillion was lost in income by people living with brain disorders and $1.1 trillion was spent directly on care for brain disorders by households and payers.
