Automation is an opportunity ! Rather than thinking that automation takes jobs, its an opportunity to increase productivity and make manufacturing more sustainable. By embracing technology manufacturing nations have managed to stay in front, countries like Germany, South Korea and Japan have better rates of productivity than the UK and use more automation than other nations. Increase UK productivity with low cost flexible automation that can take over the 3D tasks and let you use your staff to add real value to processes. #cobots #universalrobots #robots #robotics #automation #industry4

Robotic and Mobile Platform solutions. FS Technician (TÜV Rheinland, #1882/18, Machinery). Working in a knowledge partnership with our customers.
Great post from Mark Gray at Universal Robots. Irrespective of type or brand, it should come as no surprise that there is an obvious direct correlation between the number of robots deployed in a country, and the manufacturing output of that country. 💰💰💰. Robot density in the UK was reported at 101 units per 10,000 workers, below the average globally and the lowest average within the G7 countries. 76% of new robot installation in 2021 were in 5 countries: China, Japan, USA, Korea and Germany. The UK accounted for only 0.4% new installations globally. The playing field is levelling regarding labour, the key differentiator now is investment. Come on 🇬🇧, we need this 🦾 #ukmanufacturing #productivityboost

Contrary to the misconception that automation eliminates jobs, it actually presents a tremendous opportunity to boost productivity, drive sustainable manufacturing practices and actually boost jobs! Nations that have embraced technological advancements, such as Germany, South Korea, and Japan, lead the way in productivity. Their extensive use of automation has positioned them ahead of the curve, showcasing a clear competitive edge over other countries, including the UK. It's time for the UK to elevate its productivity with cost-effective, flexible automation solutions. By automating monotonous, repetitive tasks with technologies like 3D #machinevision and robotic bin picking, we can free up our workforce to focus on adding real value to the processes. Let's embrace this change and unlock the true potential of our manufacturing sector. #automation

The problem of the UK labour market? Too few robots. A report by the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), stated that there would be around 24,445 industrial robots in service in the UK in 2021, or 111 for every 10,000 manufacturing workers. It has almost doubled in a decade, but lags far behind international peers. The UK is ranked 24th in the world, lowest in the G7 and below the global average of 141. This reduction is seen as part of the explanation for Britain’s steadily declining productivity levels and its industrial struggles. Read the full story here; https://loom.ly/hh_ci7I.
