I did this panel at SXSW last year and now we’re having a full multi-day summit focused on personal professional development in LA in less than three weeks — WTF. And of course we had to bring this specific conversation back, with people who I know really care about it – Fadia K. and Channing Moreland, and Rebekah Espinosa. (fun fact: our moderator Channing was a very important catalyst for me even starting jump.global in 2020 so to have her on this with me is just insane. "The value you bring to the music business is not completely predicated on how hard you work, how quick you answer emails, the parties you get invited to, or the artists you have on your roster. It’s about the morals you live by, how you treat people, and the imprint you leave on others both personally and professionally. Your identity does not have to entirely be wrapped up in your job title and equity is not always about how much you own – it can be how much you give off in impact. In this panel discussion, we’ll talk about understanding your identity, your overall worth, and how to translate that into the workplace and beyond."

It was absolutely beautiful and definitely a pleasure connecting offline and sharing those amazing conversations beyond the digital world. Special shout-out to those who spotted me from miles away, all thanks to my trusty yellow blazer on Day 2 and the Red on Day 1! 😄 I had a few comments from people I met : ▶ "Sherin, I thought you work at home and you have no office and no team as your TikTok videos are from the outside of your house" ▶ "Sherin, I spotted you from miles away, what you look like on #LinkedIn is the same as what I am seeing you now, that made it easy for me to spot you" So guys, thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it! Point taken... For No 1: I need more bright lighting at my office to do TikTok videos from the office, but the outdoor lights always appeal better for now. 💼 For those who are getting to know me, our office is based in Ara Damansara and we have 22 super friendly staff who have become family to me. They are the best at serving our clients with their smile and 💯% best quality. Thanks to them that we keep having our clients repeatedly coming back to us for training programs For No 2: Thanks for that comment too, as it validates that my offline and online presence matches, which is so important in the social media world. Here is an advice to all, people will feel a disconnect when the offline and online presence is not a match, thus we always need to work on that. Here's to more connections, collaborations, and the wonderful relationships we've forged. Let's never forget the significance of building and nurturing connections.
