We are pleased to announce that our partners, Grain Craft and National Sugar, were honored with our 2023 Quality Supplier of the Year Awards. Andrea Thomas presented the award to Bruce King from Grain Craft during the Milling & Baking Purchasing Seminar in Kansas City. Earlier this year, Jeff Gholson, Tamika Henderson and Kelly Thew had the honor of presenting the award to National Sugar at the NSM headquarters. These awards shine a light on suppliers who have made a significant impact on our business in 2023. Congratulations to Grain Craft and National Sugar. We truly appreciate your partnership. #rise #risebakingcompany #partnership

IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING. Bad procurement practices finally being exposed. Unfortunately our beloved sauce has to be the sacrificial lamb, but this is exactly what happens when you abandon a VERY loyal supplier, and go the cheap route. When your supplier builds their business around you, chances are the cheap incumbent won't be able to keep up. Not that this is always the case, but it is a great warning sign as to what can happen when you do abandon a great relationship to save a few points. #supplychain #procurement #siracha #purchasing #management

How do you like your coffee? My Sunday morning go-to is a French press of freshly ground coffee, served up with a generous splash of lowfat milk or oat milk. Here's something to think about while you savor your Sunday sips... How does the timing of capital affect coffee farmers? Coffee is a seasonal product, which means that it is harvested at a certain time every year. In turn, coffee producers are typically paid in a lump sum once a year when they sell their harvest. This model creates a lot of instability for some farmers, as it can be difficult to financially plan for the year ahead. #coffeelover https://brev.is/Pbx2P
