Have you ever seen anything discounted at Louis Vuitton? No. Meanwhile other stores like Target place their bargain bins out the front to entice customers inside. Many of you might shudder to think of people viewing your brand or service as Target but I want you to think about how you are showing up in your business. Are you constantly offering discount codes, free trials, or dropping your prices as soon as you face an objection? As someone with decades of experience and unique thoughts to offer, are you devaluing yourself and your expertise by dropping your prices because a client asks you to? If you are begrudgingly saying yes in your head you are acting like Target, playing solely based on price when you have so much more to offer. Your brand, your business, your expertise is like Louis Vuitton. And you need to act in a way that is congruent with how much value you bring to the table. Instead of discounting to fit the clients needs let them know that if price is an issue then they will need to miss out on a chunk of the value that you offer and look at a different product. Instead of competing on price, compete on value, show your clients how you are different, and why your service is worth the premium price tag. Show up each and every day and offer value that wows them and you'll get to the point that clients say you should be charging more. Because you are the only one who is allowed to put a price tag on what you do, so stop discounting yourself. 📸 Working with a luxury brand in a luxury location
