Open call - WRITE FOR US! Our summer collection is coming and it's all about mental health and motherhood. When we hear the words “mental health” combined with the word “motherhood,” we often start laughing. We want to know about your perspective of mental health and how it’s shifted over time. Have you faced challenges that you’d want to share? Have you overcome obstacles that you didn’t think were possible? We also know conversations about mental health are not confined to our own journey - it bleeds over into our families. How do you talk about mental health with your children, those you care for, partners, spouses and extended family members? We’d love to hear about a story or a time that shined a light on the intersection of mental health and motherhood. Learn more and submit your 2-3 sentence pitch at beamstories.substack.com.

🌟✨ This Mental Health Awareness Week, I wanted to share a personal reflection as a parent of two amazing girls. As a mother, I'm constantly navigating the ups and downs of parenthood, and this week is particularly poignant as my daughter is sitting her SATs exams. 📚 It's a reminder of just how much pressure our children can face at such a young age, and how important it is to prioritise their mental well-being alongside their academic achievements. As parents, we play a crucial role in supporting our children through these challenging times, ensuring they know that their mental health is just as important as their grades. I believe that open conversations about mental health and emotional well-being should start at home. By creating a safe space for our children to express their feelings and concerns, we can help them develop resilience and coping strategies that will serve them well throughout their lives. In honour of Mental Health Awareness Week, let's pledge to be more mindful of the pressures our children face and to prioritise their mental well-being above all else. Together, we can create a supportive environment where our children can thrive academically, emotionally, and mentally. 💕 #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #Parenting #SATs #SupportingOurChildren
