In my recent posts, I've discussed the importance of a strategic and systemic approach to workplace wellbeing - something many companies have failed, or neglected, to prioritise. It takes time to shift a decades-old culture, for which there’s no set template, in which every organisation is unique in its culture, processes and challenges. But in aiming to improve and maintain wellbeing, there are certain considerations that can apply to all organisations. So as the dust slowly settles, what might that template start to look like? The Wellbeing at Work World team and I, supported and guided by a global community of HR and business leaders, have developed a strategic framework for supporting employee health and wellbeing, as the foundation for performance and potential. It has three layers: 🔍 Human-Centred: Addressing the fundamental human needs of safety, belonging, and purpose. 🔍 An Organisational and Individual Approach: Blending a healthy environment for all with personalised support for each. 🔍 Factors of Effectiveness: An ongoing feedback loop of effective leadership, communication, and measurement. This is amazing. It's so important for employees to feel psychologically and socially safe so that they feel that they belong and can contribute honestly; leading to a more diverse and agile team / organisation
