Congratulations General Manager Brandie and her team at the Fruitland Rhodes location! Their store recently became one of just nine Rhodes Culture & Training Center (CTC) certified locations! CTC is a new program that requires stores to pass a rigorous inspection process. The few stores that pass are considered "flagship" locations where management trainees learn how to lead their own Rhodes locations. CTC stores illustrate Rhodes' highest level of training and culture and will set expectations and opportunities for success for incoming team members. Our CTC stores uphold our culture and core values to the highest degree, and we're proud to recognize their accomplishments. Join the Rhodes family and experience exceptional training and mentoring. Today student leaders of the Hospitality Management Program welcomed Stephanie Fischer President & CEO, and Katherine A. of the Georgia Restaurant Association to campus. Collaborating with industry partners like the Georgia Restaurant Association offers students in the Hospitality Management Program an array of invaluable opportunities. These collaborations help bridge the gap between academia and the real-world demands of the hospitality and restaurant industry. Here are some key benefits that students can gain from such partnerships: · Real-World Experience: Engaging with industry leaders allows students to gain practical insights into the operations, challenges, and dynamics of the hospitality sector. This experience is crucial for understanding the practical aspects of what they learn in the classroom. · Career Guidance and Advice: Gaining first-hand advice from successful individuals in the industry can guide students in making informed career choices. It can help them understand various career paths and what they entail. · Understanding of Industry Standards and Expectations: Interacting directly with industry leaders helps students understand the professional standards and expectations of the hospitality sector, enabling them to better prepare for their future careers. Such partnerships are a testament to the commitment of educational institutions to provide students with a holistic and relevant education that not only includes academic knowledge but also practical skills and real-world exposure necessary for success in the hospitality industry. My favorite role as a Learning Representative, is motivator. As someone who is passionate about personal and professional development, I ensure that I am visible and present; I share my personal experiences and try my best to be relatable. Anyway, I wanted to share my 'feel good' moments of today: 1. A Trainee asked me today, "How do I do what you do? How do I get that job?" That made me feel great because I feel like I'm doing the right things to make others passionate about developing others and ensuring that they grow professionally. 2. An associate completed the Retail Management Certificate Program. They told me that I was helpful in their entire journey throughout the program. And I quote, "I see why they picked you as the Regional Learning Representative!" What would have happened if I wasn't present, wasn't supportive, didn't answer the questions? Being there for our associates matters! I absolutely love my job and that I have the opportunity to inspire and motivate others.

Opportunities to develop at Morrisons are endless. We spoke to Sophie Robinson, People Manager - Store Support Office & Productivity, about her time on our People Graduate scheme and how it helped her grow. "I started my scheme in store, getting involved in different projects, learning about the retail operations, then moving on to a People Manager role. I learnt a lot in my time as a People Graduate, and really felt I had learnt autonomy and responsibility." "If you're just starting your career, say yes to as many opportunities as you can, and don't be afraid to ask for feedback, taking time to reflect on your development. You could also make sure you're confident in your decision making, and always learning from your mistakes." During my early career days, I had an idea in my head that was meant to lead me into a bold experiment, with the chance of failure on the table. -Is it possible to achieve excellent service by completely avoiding service trainings? how we could ensure that service skills develop naturally, as a self-driven process? How about teaching people "how to grow" rather than "how to do"? To test this experiment I decided to avoid the entire service program for six months, focusing solely on personal development training. The goal was to foster a culture where people instinctively seek growth, without getting any service instructions. 💡It's a win-win, folks! Not only did our service quality improve, but every individual on the team was prepared for their next role. And I also managed to free up my calendar from all those yawn-inducing service trainings 😄🤓 So, the next time you're planning a round of service training, swap it out for workshops such as 'learning how to learn,' 'breakthrough thinking,' 'neuroscience of trust, critical thinking and see how scores soar In this picture is the stellar team of our newly opened restaurant La Rive 🎣. Their agenda is packed with personal development trainings only and their service results are off the charts ..😎 The Heart of Europe
