We proudly present you our new AHA BOOST project entitled: Arm-hand BOOST therapy to enhance recovery after stroke: clinical, health economic and process evaluation. 💪   🎯The overall aim of this project is to improve outcomes for patients who have experienced a stroke and are admitted to inpatient stroke rehabilitation. These patients have the potential to relearn. The effects of a comprehensive arm-hand therapy (Aha BOOST) will be compared to the effects of a dose-matched therapy for the lower limbs. The aim is to demonstrate an improvement beyond the current level of recovery, both in the short and long term. To show a favorable impact on health, the economy, and quality of life, with implications for both the patient and society. And additionally, to evaluate the implementation process for further dissemination and utilization.   Aha Boost is funded by the Research Foundation Flanders - FWO (2023-2027) and is a collaboration between KU Leuven, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and Jessa Ziekenhuis. A vital component of a well-developed research project is the dissemination of its findings. It ensures that any valuable insights and discoveries from the project can reach the right audience, encouraging innovation and driving progress in the field under study. Evolv and the research partners in our SBRI Healthcare - funded stroke telerehabilitation trial have been very active in ensuring the transfer of knowledge of our project through academic publications, presentations, social media, as well as relevant stroke-related events. One of the most important global events for the sharing of knowledge and advances in research and clinical care of stroke patients is the European Stroke Organisation Conference (ESOC), now taking place in Basel, Switzerland from 15–17 May. ESOC is the perfect showcase to present our EvolvRehab – MoveWell project and we are very fortunate that Dr Philip McBride, our project manager from the University of Exeter, is there to present a poster on the results of the initial n=5 stage. There’s nobody better to represent our project’s aims and early findings than Dr McBride, who has worked very closely with us and the other project stakeholders, especially the stroke survivors and their carers who trialled EvolvRehab at home. The opportunity to share our project’s early research findings at ESOC will definitely boost its visibility and increase its potential for real-world impact, which is Evolv’s biggest goal. #stroke #telerehabilitation #exergaming #neurorehabilitation

Impacting post stroke patients and society with vergence training We are extremely proud and happy that imvi labs ab - improving vision has been pre-approved for support from European Union DIGIT-PRE open call project together with our development partner Accelerated Growth Lab and Karolinska Institutet that will conduct a study. With this support we will accelerate our product development effort and also plan a study focused on vergence rehab after stroke. Market analysis and development is an important and integral part of the scope. We have already trained and helped people after both stroke and concussions. Our contributions in research include the testing and development of MDT, the innovative surgical procedures pioneered by Dr Paul Brand, and improving the understanding and management of reactions and neuropathy.
