This week I had the honour of being a keynote speaker at the Deloitte Canada's Trailblazers In Leadership: Celebrating Asian Excellence. I shared some personal stories and introspective lessons I've learned that have shaped the person I am today and led me to my current role at Canadian Tire Corporation. The night also included inspiring and thought-provoking panel comprised of Jonny Leung, Saleha Shafiq, Victor Gao, Weiwei Li, MBA, PMP, CSM , Robert Noronha and moderated by Sharon Beerling. I loved all the post-presentation conversations we had too. As we close out Asian Heritage Month, I feel proud of the progress being made in so many organizations. None of us are as smart as all of us and when it comes to Cybersecurity, we all want as much knowledge as we can get. With the rate-of-change and sophistication compounding quickly, it only makes sense to learn and assist each other against these common threats. Canadian Tire Corporation and our CISO, Clinton McFadden had the opportunity to host the Retail & Hospitality Information Sharing and Analysis Center (RH-ISAC) inaugural face-to-face workshop in Canada. Thank-you to all the amazing 10 organizations and cyber experts that participated in this event, and who share the same dedication as we do, to protect the interest of our companies and of Canadians.

AVP Digital Retail Experience at Canadian Tire Corporation

A huge congratulations to my team for being recognized at the RCC Awards Gala last night. Our team won the Omni-Channel Award for an innovative product we call Scan & Buy. This system allows customers to request a large bulk item to be picked for them, and provides real time updates via SMS to the customer to track that process. Fully integrated to our POS and fulfillment systems this removes a huge friction point in our stores for customers wondering who is getting their items and where it is. Congrats to the entire team at Canadian Tire Corporation, Praful Rajawat, Dave Setton, Amber Emmett, Chris Ang, Kelly Doucette, Hinda Abdi and of course our dealer partners who help us create amazing experiences that ultimately make life in Canada better. This week, our employees gathered for a meaningful Asian Fusion Celebration to honour Asian Heritage Month. Led by our Asian Canadian Pacific Islander (ACPI) Network and South Asians at the Tire (SAATT) employee resource groups, employees across our Canadian Tire Calgary and Toronto campuses celebrated their cultural similarities and unique differences. The event allowed participants to nurture relationships while fostering awareness and understanding of diverse cultural practices. Our employees had the opportunity to celebrate, learn, and appreciate the vibrant tapestry of Asian traditions with mesmerizing traditional and modern dances, and enchanting Asian music while enjoying some cultural cuisine. 🌍🎶🍜 Today and year-round, CTC remains dedicated to building a culture of belonging where everyone feels seen, heard and valued.
