In today's market, it's not enough to have a killer pitch. We need to create a sense of FOMO that's stronger than the fear of making the wrong choice. How? By being EVERYWHERE. Meg Gowell, ex-Director of Growth Marketing at Appcues, and now at Typeform nailed it: "You have to balance the fear of making the wrong choice with the fear of missing out." The key? Omnipresence. Make your brand feel like it's the hottest thing everyone's talking about. Because when people think everyone else is buying, they'll want in too. Time to crank up that visibility and create some serious momentum. 🤓

Marketing isn't checkers, it's chess. And if you're still playing with just one piece, you're setting yourself up for a royal checkmate. At AdConversion and even during Silvio Perez's stint at Metadata, he never hitched his wagon to just one channel. Why? Because different audiences and offers need different moves, just like you wouldn't use a knight to castle. Before you start throwing spaghetti at the digital wall, Silvio recommends you get crystal clear on two things: 1. Who's your audience? (Hint: If it's "everyone", you're doing it wrong) 2. What's your offer? (And no, "buy my stuff" doesn't count) Once you've nailed those down, only then it's time to wear the strategist hat. Where does your audience hang out online? Are they LinkedIn lurkers or TikTok dancers? Your grandma's Facebook feed or your teen's Instagram story? It's critical to choose your battlefield wisely. If you're gunning for awareness among the enterprise big boys, your chessboard looks a lot different. TikTok dances are out (unless your CEO has killer moves), and thought leadership on LinkedIn is in. The bottom line? Get clear on your audience, polish that offer, and then pick your channels like a pro. After all, in the game of marketing chess, it's not about how many pieces you have — it's about making the right moves with the ones you've got. PS.
