🌟 Reflecting on Impact: Camelot's Successful Partnership with Ubrania Do Oddania (UDO) 🤝 At Camelot, we're excited to share the remarkable results of our collaboration with Ubrania Do Oddania (UDO), a visionary Polish company dedicated to making a difference. Founded in 2018 by Zosia Zochniak and Tomasz Bocian, UDO is more than just a clothing collection platform; it's a movement that connects used clothing donations with vital financial support for charities. Together with UDO, we've made significant strides in our commitment to driving positive change. 👕 During the campaign, our collaboration resulted in impressive results: CO2 saved: 9,320 kg, equivalent to reducing emissions from 4 passenger cars driven for one year Water saved: Over 4,508,774 liters, equivalent to supplying approximately 2,005 households with water for a year Clothing donations: A total of 722 kg collected, making a meaningful impact on countless lives Children's scholarships: UDO partnership funds support The Saint Nicholas Foundation, funding children's scholarships from campaign donations. 🙌 These achievements are a testament to the power of collective action – from our Polish office. Even though the campaign has concluded, its impact continues to resonate, inspiring us to pursue further initiatives for meaningful change. #Sustainability #CommunityImpact #UDO #Collaboration

Kia Ora everyone. You may well be aware that funding streams for charities are becoming even tighter in the current climate. And added to that, we are in the middle of a cost of living crisis, which means costs are up for everyone, and the demand for our services appears to be on the rise too. We would like to grow how we serve our community, so to do this we need to build our programmes, the team and future proof our charity. To operate effectively we will always need donations and the help of sponsors. We have set up a ‘Give-a-little’ page through their charities platform. See link below. Any and all donations count….even if it’s just what a coffee would cost you, or even a weekly coffee. It makes a big difference. By using the crowd funding concept, getting you all involved, then we may be able to develop our charity and make sure many more people benefit from what we do. If you are a business, could you consider sponsoring a bike skills training session? If you employ staff, would you sponsor a personal cycle skills or basic cycle maintenance session for your people? If you love what we do, could you afford to donate something to help with our operating costs?….it all helps! Donation details here: https://lnkd.in/emTmZmFY Thank you, The Up-Cycles team (Chris, Lisa & David).

📣 It's that time of year again! The Plenitude Consulting team is hosting the Plenitude Games 2024 as part of our efforts to raise money for STOP THE TRAFFIK Group We have formed a variety of groups from 🏋♀️ weightlifting to 🏃♀️ running to 🏊♀️ swimming, all with the goal of raising a combined £5,000 (doubling our efforts from last year) As part of the weightlifting team we are pledging to lift a total of 3M KG❗ throughout the month of July - any donations / words of encouragement are greatly appreciated! 🔗 You can find the donation link here: https://lnkd.in/eRRPvSXA 💡 About Stop The Traffik: Over 50 million people are enslaved and trafficked every year. 1 in 4 are children. Most are women and girls. Unfortunately, this crime is on the rise, and climate change, conflict, and crises around the world continue to raise risk for vulnerable people. When we see people in need, traffickers see an opportunity to make profit, and they make over $500 billion in profit annually. STOP THE TRAFFIK has a solution. Through data-driven prevention, we can stop exploitation before it happens, build resilient communities, and protect vulnerable people from harm. Last year alone, STOP THE TRAFFIK guided over 3000 people to safety who may have otherwise been trafficked. #fundraising #gym #stopthetraffik #plenitudegames2024

Since joining Prosperity 24/7, I've come to realise that there's not much that brings us together like a good Love to Ride challenge. We managed to top our respective leaderboards in the recent May challenge, although Greener Kirkcaldy gave us an excellent run for our money. We got new people involved in the challenge, we saved an estimated 546lb CO2 through cycling instead of driving and as well as cheering on our usual stalwarts, I also discovered which colleagues will come through last thing on a Friday and undertake a round-the-island-cycle for the extra miles... Sure, winning is fun but what's really nice is to see the behaviour changes starting to take root in the segment of our company that aren't die-hard cyclists (and I include myself in that). Last September I noted that I'm a reluctant cyclist but I'm becoming less reluctant and more willing to do that commute by bicycle. I've also noticed our bike store becoming busier and less frequent cyclists populating the Love to Ride feed more often. That's no mean feat. As someone who deals with change while delivering projects, change isn't always easy to embed but I've always been a fan of gamification as motivation in the right settings. And one of those right settings will be Prosperity Day in September, when our colleagues and clients will compete for bragging rights but also for the much better reason of raising money for charity - this year, we're supporting Healing Waves UK and Jersey Hospice Care - two very deserving charities. So, if you want to do your part, why not sign up for or donate to the tenth Prosperity Day? https://lnkd.in/eFAaUGGf #Lovetoride #change #prosperityday #healingwaves #hospice #charity #cycling
It's #WorldBicycleDay! So what better day to tell you that the 10th edition of Prosperity Day is ready to launch! 🚀 So far we've raised £160,000 for charity and this year we want to raise £40,000 for Jersey Hospice Care and Healing Waves UK Our annual charity fundraising event sees corporate rivals go ‘head to head to head’ in a fast paced stationary cycling challenge. Using our brand new Wahoo KICKR bikes to complete a virtual 30 minute race using 3D Race technology, teams of three will compete against each other to gain race day points which are added to their all important fundraising total and will see who tops the podium. 🚴♂️ 🚴♀️ 🚴♂️ Team captains, get your team mates ready and sign up here https://lnkd.in/eCS2ijBA #GreatMindsAlways #ProsperityDay #Clients #Colleagues #Community #Charity #VentYourFury #CorporateRivalry
Prosperity Day is 10! Join us on Friday 06 September

Last Saturday, our founder Gordon Miller embarked on an incredible journey, participating in the Chase The Sun Cycle, riding coast to coast. Every pedal stroke of this grueling 310-kilometre ride, completed in just 14 hours, was dedicated to raising awareness of modern slavery and supporting Ride For Freedom. What an amazing display of mental and physical strength! Now, we’re inviting YOU to join the #CycleRevolution and make a difference. Whether with friends, collogues, or solo, ride the way you want and help us raise crucial funds to help fight modern slavery. You have a choice in how you participate: Why not set your own challenge? It doesn't have to be anywhere near as intense as Gordon's. Your challenge could be: 1. Riding your bike every day during Anti-Slavery Week. 2. Taking your family out for a ride. 3. Creating a relay team with colleagues. 4. Organizing a group ride with your spin class. 5. Baking treats for the cyclist at your organisation taking part and sharing them to raise awareness and funds. Every effort counts, and every choice you make helps our incredible organization educate, raise awareness, advocate, and provide remedies for survivors of modern slavery through cycling. Ready to make a difference? Sign up for the Cycle Revolution and choose how you’ll contribute - https://lnkd.in/erw3b2cd #RideForFreedom #EndModernSlavery #makeadifference #cycleyourway #raiseawareness #jointhemovement #fundraising #sponsor #donate #AntiSlaveryWeek

Such an amazing & important initiative - imagine all those Lego bricks saved from landfill and getting new life! 👏👏 So many opportunities for Lego too… these are just the top line: 🧱 Access to materials without using raw materials. 🧱New product range made from recycled materials. 🧱Huge marketing & branding opportunities. 🧱 Lots of stories to tell. 🧱 Opens up to new customer markets. 🧱 Likely to lower Carbon emissions (I’ll be interested to hear more about this) but regardless, using recycled materials and diverting Lego from landfill is better. How can you rethink and reimagine your company’s waste to support the circular economy? Let’s start ‘building bricks’ 🧱 🤭 with an ideation session: https://lnkd.in/eTpaBZut #circulareconomy
We’re excited to share that LEGO® Replay, our brick take-back service, is being piloted in the UK 🎉 94% of people who’ve decided to part ways with their bricks already know what to do with them; they pass them on to friends, family, charities, local schools, or sell them. But for anyone who doesn’t have a plan, LEGO Replay provides an easy option to ensure those bricks continue to inspire play and creativity for children. Donating is simple! 📦Pack up any unwanted bricks in any box 🏷 Print out a freepost label 🏪 Ship them from any local DPD Drop Shop in England, Scotland or Wales. A freepost service for our fans in Northern Ireland will follow soon. The pilot is an important step on our journey to becoming more circular. Check out full details on LEGO.com/Replay-UK. #LEGOReplay #justimagine #circulareconomy #learningthroughplay

A little 'inside baseball' for how a Rally North America event works. 80 cars line up in a smallish town (think Erie, PA or Knoxville, TN) on a sunny weekday morning - come to think of it, I've never been on a starting grid where it was raining - listen to a rallying introduction from our organizers and that town's leadership, and then get in our cars, waiting for the coveted Clue Card for the day and the green flag. Local news crews recording as we take off, one by one. Pictured is one of those Clue Cards - this from our 2016 Big Sky Rally which ran from Billings, MT to Portland, OR. As you can see, each checkpoint is described with just a clue and an image. We have to figure out what it is, where it is, and how to get there more quickly than the other 79 cars' occupants. While respecting traffic laws, mind you; a ticket is an instant DQ. Our place in the starting grid is dictated by how much money we raise for the charity that year. In 2012, I secured pole position with approximately $3500 raised. By now, pole position requires more than $20,000 in donations. We are that serious about the cause. I'm usually good now for about $8,000 - though I'm behind in my efforts so far this year. Please help me out by hitting Like and, if you think the cause worthy, repost to your networks. All donations, large or small, are hugely appreciated and roundly celebrated. My goal for this week is to raise $250 through our donation page, which is linked below. All proceeds go directly to Camp Sunshine and you will receive a receipt for tax purposes. 🏕 ☀ This post is related to Rally North America's 2024 Sunshine Rally. As we do nearly every year, my wife and I are participating under the team name Slightly Lost. Our goal is to raise as much money for the chosen #charity as we possibly can; please help us make a difference for the kids at Camp Sunshine by contributing at our Team Page. Link in the Comments. For more information, or if you represent a business that would like to get exposure during the event, DM me. #fundraising #foragoodcause #rallynorthamerica #campsunshine #slightlylost661

We’re a few hours away from D-day! We are so excited to see you at the EyeRide start line at 7:15 am tomorrow morning! Your incredible efforts have led to $43,767 in donations (and counting) for our 2024 benefactors, @balanceforblindadults and the @trailblazerstcc The weather forecast is cloudy and 25°C for the morning 65 km, Vaughn to Alliston leg. Mother Nature is testing our resilience and flexibility. The forecast for the Alliston to Collingwood leg of EyeRide is thunderstorms with heavy rain. For the safety of those riders, we are canceling the Alliston to Collingwood leg of the ride. This means EyeRide will conclude at Alliston for all riders. For those of you who were riding the 130 km ride, we understand your disappointment, but your safety is our priority. We’ll be celebrating and enjoying lunch at Alliston as EyeRide’s end point. Upon arrival at PPG Park, all riders will leave their bikes with our Bike Valets to be loaded for transport back to the start line. The bus will accommodate all riders. The bike truck and bus will depart Alliston at 1:00 pm sharp. In case of a sudden thunderstorm while cycling: 1. Seek temporary shelter. 2. Avoid taking shelter under an isolated, lone, tall object like a tree. 3. Avoid grouping together in case of a strike. 4. Cover up to stay as dry as possible. 5. Monitor changing conditions and get moving again quickly to get to safety and generate body heat. If you require assistance, contact our Route Assistance Contact: April Watts at 647-291-2211. We will continue to monitor the forecast. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. You can still donate and support EyeRide here: https://lnkd.in/dmnfKrPu #EyeRide2024 #OutOfSight #Volunteering #Fundraising
