Unleash your creativity, think outside the box, and be part of shaping the future of innovation in Orange County! OC is requesting students to unleash their brilliance and creativity by submitting a name or phrase that is impactful and one that describes the Innovation Lab. The Innovation Lab is physically located in the heart of the Historic Pine Hills community. The name must be igniting and telling as a space for fostering and driving innovation and mentorship. The Innovation Lab is a dedicated space that fosters creative thinking, experimentation and the development of new ideas, processes, and products. It is a collaborative environment where communities from different disciplines come together to brainstorm, prototype and test innovative concepts with the goal of problem solving or driving advancements in technology. While I love the comparison, there is a core difference between these institutions. When Xavier Niel, the godfather of french tech entrepreneurship, created the coding school in 2013, he 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Naturally, Hook’s values and ethos are deeply intertwined with the values Xavier instilled at 42. 42 doesn't just produce coders; it forges hackers, pirates. Last December was interesting, I discovered my son was a Hacker…    Not the shadowy kind. @Christian Chilov dived headfirst into Hackathon Masters.     The event was a battleground for brains. Teams collided to solve real biz puzzles.    It’s more than code wars...    It’s about creativity. Team spirit. Innovation under the gun.    Christian? He snagged a certificate – and his father’s praise!    But it’s not just any paper. It means he’s got the chops. Entrepreneurial. Persistent. A team player. An innovator.    These hackathons... They’re not just contests.
