Balmoral Cemetery, located in South Belfast, is a small but historically significant graveyard with deep ties to Belfast's history. ### Key Historical Aspects: 1 **Notable Burials**: Balmoral Cemetery is the final resting place of several notable figures in Belfast’s history. These include prominent businesspeople, political figures, and philanthropists from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. 2. **Small and Tucked Away**: Unlike larger cemeteries in Belfast, Balmoral Cemetery is relatively small, with its limited space contributing to its intimate atmosphere. Despite its size, it serves as a poignant reminder of Belfast’s historical narrative. 3. **Preservation Efforts**: In recent years, there have been efforts to preserve the cemetery, as it had fallen into neglect. Local historians and preservationists have worked to restore and maintain the site as part of Belfast's cultural heritage. 4. **Architectural Significance**: The headstones and monuments in Balmoral Cemetery are reflective of Victorian-era funerary architecture, with many elaborate and detailed gravestones. Due to its connection to local history and the people buried there, Balmoral Cemetery remains an important part of Belfast's heritage.

ABORIGINAL INDUSTRY – At it Again They now have upped the ante on their time frame of SUPPOSED EXISTANCE, and also now claiming the insulting WELCOMING TO COUNTRY NONSENSE was started and been around for 250,00 YEARS. In 1788, they were discovered as hunter gatherers existing in a baron stone age land. When is it ever going to stop. Whether 65,000 or 250,000 years of supposed existence, they had nothing, built nothing, knew nothing and could not communicate because there were 500 tribes with many JARGONs and were never a NATION. Barely 235 years since the arrival of the first fleet, these Aboriginal descendent Australian’s are now known as the great custodians of all knowledge about all things from the sea, land, air, water, astronomy, environment, trees and all living creatures, animals and fish, you name it. Without question ????? they are THE ones with all the knowledge. Like it has been for 65,000 or 250,000 years and these Aboriginal descendent Australian’s are recognized as the least educated and LEAST knowledgeable ON EARTH. These Aboriginal impostures must be brought into line and made to stop this endless stream of lies about themselves and the divisive mantras and evils they push onto all other Australian’s.
Historical distortion again. The history of Indigenous Australians began 50,000 to 65,000 years ago when humans first populated the Australian continental landmasses. However, more propaganda and deceit presented at the AFL of an introduction to all inclusive Australians of a minority group of Australians from an Indigenous Elite Brendan Kerin, ( a cultural educator from the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council) who should know better because of his professional position. He should get his historical information correct if he holds such a role. His truly un welcomed commentary that a A Welcome to Country is not a ceremony we’ve invented to cater for white people,” he stated is “a ceremony we’ve been doing for 250,000 years-plus BC. And the BC stands for Before Cook.” Embarrassing and not welcomed.

OK, perhaps there needs to be a 'slavery reflection room' but why does it have to obliterate what is, essentially, a national war memorial? This is like the news that today, Magdalen College at Oxford University won't observe St. George's Day (the patron saint of England) but it will observe an Eid dinner. Why can't we have both? There's plenty of room in a multicultural democracy for many viewpoints. But these actions do not create an atmosphere of equality and understanding. By deliberately erasing one viewpoint (the viewpoint of a majority, I would argue) in favour of another ( a minority viewpoint) the powers-that-be are seeking to place that majority at a disadvantage, and to elevate the minority to a position of supremacy. And, seeking to reinforce their position by enacting ludicrous hate crime laws which are far over-reaching, and are close to a suspension of the free speech and free assembly rights which Britons have enjoyed since the time of the Magna Carta. 'Do you realize that the past, starting from yesterday, has been actually abolished? ….. Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book has been rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street and building has been renamed, every date has been altered.'- '1984', Orwell https://lnkd.in/gXNjmECV @NML_Muse #totalitarianism #authoritarianism #freedom #history #MagnaCarta #revisionism #Orwell #dystopia #Liverpool #museum #RedGuard #cuckold #reverseracism #racialsupremacy #cowardice #UnitedKingdom #oxforduniversity #Magdalen #Marxists #champagnesocialists #ThoughtPolice #thoughtcrime #ignoranceisknowledge

Did you know that today is the Anniversary of the Torres Strait Islander Flag? This week we’re sharing information and resources to recognise and raise awareness of the significant dates throughout National Reconciliation Week. The Torres Strait Islander flag was created by the late Bernard Namok Sr in 1992 as part of a design competition. The flag was created as a symbol of unity and identity for Torres Strait Islander peoples. The cultures and traditions of Torres Strait Islanders are strongly connected to the land, sea and sky — elements which are represented in the flag. • Green panels: represent the land • Blue panel: represent the sea • Black lines: represent the Torres Strait Islander people • White: white dhari (dancer’s headdress) which is a prominent symbol to Torres Strait Islander peoples culture, five-pointed star Underneath the Dhari headdress reflects the five island groups in the Torres Strait, navigation of the sea and peace. In 1992 the Torres Strait Islander flag was given equal prominence with the Aboriginal flag, both of which would go on to be declared as Flags of Australia under the Flags Act 1953.
