Pride Month is about acceptance, equality and celebrating the work of LGBTQ people. But it isn’t just about the Pride Month flags, the LGBTQ Pride Month facts or Pride Month resources because LGBTQ inclusion should take place 365 days of the year. Making assumptions on sexuality, gender and sex, based on heteronormative ideas is not acceptable. Our plays share example of unacceptable behaviour at work or school. We work hard to educate, inspire and ignite discussions. Allyship in the workplace is crucial for inclusion and equality. Research shows that having just one strong ally can help reduce the possibility of suicidal thoughts of LGBTQ people by 40%. June is not just time for celebration, it’s also a time to raise awareness of issues that might be experienced being part of the LGBTQIA . It shines a light on the unique challenges so that we can support each other better. #PrideMonth #LGBTQ Inclusion #Allyship #EqualityForAll #LGBTQIA #AcceptanceMatters #SupportEachOther #TheatreInspiringChange

June is Pride Month! This month is dedicated to the celebration and commemoration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender pride. Pride Month began after the Stonewall riots in 1968. This important month is all about recognizing and celebrating the LGBTQ community. How can you recognize this month in the workplace? Here are some ideas: ❤️ Team building events centered around LGBTQ trivia or volunteer opportunities that benefit the community. 🧡 Create and support an Employee Resource Group, where employees can support each other and brainstorm workplace initiatives that will actually benefit the LGBT community in the office. 💛 Inclusive language training is crucial and a great first step in ensuring all your employees feel comfortable and welcome in your workplace. 💙 Update your policy to ensure you are protecting your employees from discrimination in the workplace. Let me know! How are you celebrating Pride Month this June? #PuzzleHR #TopTrendsInHR #Compliance #EmploymentLaw #Policy #Talent #PrideMonth

Some great tips on building an inclusive workplace. #proudtobelong
The LGBTQ community is vibrant and growing. In fact, Gen Z is 6x more likely than Gen X to identify as a member of the community. Companies that fail to meet the needs of this growing segment of the workforce could miss out on a talent pool of more than 10 million workers over the next 5 years. In our 2024 EY US LGBTQ Workplace Barometer, we explore how companies can better prioritize LGBTQ visibility, inclusion and employee engagement this #Pride month and all year long. #ProudtoBelong https://go.ey.com/3KEYnEG

Organisations can take various actions to support and get involved in LGBTQ History Month, demonstrating their commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and equality. 🏳️🌈 Education and Awareness Organisations can conduct workshops and training sessions to educate employees about the historical context, struggles, and triumphs of the LGBYQ community. 🏳️🌈 Employee Resource Groups These groups provide platform for LGBTQ employees to connect, share experiences, and advocate for inclusiveness in the workplace. 🏳️🌈 Promote LGBTQ Voices Provide a platform for individuals to share their stories, experiences, and perspectives. By actively seeking and amplifying these voices, organisations contribute to a more inclusive narrative, fostering understanding and empathy among employees. 🏳️🌈 Visible Support Display tangible symbols of inclusivity, such as pride flags, banners, or posters, within the workplace. These visible representations send a powerful message, singling commitment and creating a welcoming environment for all. Here at Wellity we offer a range of training titles around many awareness days throughout the year, click here to view our sessions - https://buff.ly/3ZwWxwk For further information on our sessions, or to book a meeting with our team, contact us at [email protected]. #LGBTQHistoryMonth #LGBTQCommunity #Inclusivity #Support #Diversity #BetterEveryDay

The weekend is almost here! Let's wrap up the work week by showing support for our LGBTQ colleagues 🏳️🌈 As we head into the weekend, let's take a moment to reflect💭 on how we can create a more inclusive workplace for our LGBTQ colleagues. Here's one way to get started: 🌈 Use inclusive language and pronouns. Be mindful of the words you use and try to avoid assumptions about someone's gender identity or sexual orientation. #LGBTQ #inclusion #equality #diversity
