The Birth of DataLords: The story of DataLords traces back to the mid-1990s when our CTO, Ben Waters, first delved into the world of dial-up modems. It was during this time that his fascination with delivering fast and high-quality internet services began to take shape. In 2001, Ben embarked on his true "Internet journey" as a technical advisor at Demon Internet. As the years went by and Ben transitioned into marketing, he encountered two major frustrations. Firstly, he felt detached from the technical world, wanting to "play with servers" once again. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, he realised that the elusive "perfect hosting solution" seemed to be non-existent. The existing hosting options were either too slow and unreliable or burdened with clunky, unappealing control panels. In the midst of 2018, the idea for DataLords started to form. Through dedicated efforts and the development of prototypes throughout 2019 and 2020, we gradually brought our vision to life. In 2021, with the support of investments, we turned our dream into a reality. DataLords emerged as a provider of fast, reliable hosting that is easily scalable, reasonably priced, and equipped with a user-friendly control panel for seamless and hassle-free management. The journey of DataLords exemplifies our commitment to addressing the frustrations that plagued the hosting industry, propelling us to create a solution that empowers users with exceptional performance, reliability, and ease of use. https://datalords.net/ #webhosting #webhostingservices #backstory

We’ve heard rumors that the Edge browser might be getting a new feature to help us take control of our browsing experience. 👀 Maybe this sounds familiar… you're online, juggling multiple tabs like a pro, when suddenly your computer starts feeling a bit sluggish. One (or more) of those tabs is eating up your memory like Bruce Bogtrotter with a chocolate cake. Here’s the answer: Microsoft Edge Canary, the playground for testing the latest browser features, is teasing a RAM slider feature. RAM (Random Access Memory) is like your computer's short-term memory. It helps your system run smoothly by storing data that's currently in use. Browsers, like Edge, can be notorious memory hogs, gobbling up RAM faster than you can say 'refresh.' With the RAM slider you'll be able to change how much memory Edge munches on, giving you more control over your browsing. From setting a low limit to preserve resources to going all-in with your maximum RAM, the choice is yours. Just remember, setting a lower limit might slow down your browsing speed. When can we get our hands on this function? Well, there isn’t an exact release date yet, but I don’t think we’ll have to wait too long. Will you be switching this one on straight away?👀 If you want to learn more about some cool Edge features check out our Tech Update: https://lnkd.in/edvMJ_9U
