We are delighted to share that our Team has a new Partner! Nanika Kakkar has been promoted to Partner at Cornerstone Venture Partners Fund (CSVP Fund) 🎉
Of course, she has been with the Fund from day-1 as part of the founding team and has never been any lesser. She’s played a key role in the formative years of the Fund and never limited her contribution to any specific role definition - truly playing the role of a Partner over the years!
Nanika brings several core and unparalleled strengths that empower the team!
a) Incredible Tenacity
She has brought home some of the hardest deals we’ve done over the years, that have also been our largest cheques. Be it multi-country structures or complex matrix of stakeholders, she has scaled it all. She also brought in the first exit for the Fund, which was an extremely arduous and patient negotiation to achieve the best possible outcome. It’s this tenacity that fuels the entrepreneur in her!
b) Ability to Seamlessly Handle Complexity
She brings an uncanny ability to breakdown complex business models and build meaningful correlations between macro-economic trends and the interplay with micro-economic trends. This helps Nanika see beyond what most of us are able to perceive, and helps her spot some of the best opportunities to build scale working alongside our founders.
c) Strong Communication Skills
Nanika’s ability to communicate in the most balanced manner, not only ensures there is a constant channel of communication open when striking a deal or building a new working relationship. She ensures a ‘win-win’ situation is created in every conversation or collaboration. This helps her build deep relationships with founders and co-investors and the ecosystem at large.
While these strengths help her stand tall, and what truly differentiates her is the one underlying characteristic – ‘Fearlessness’!
As we launch Fund II, we believe she will continue to shine and lead the Fund to global scale, rubbing shoulders with fellow investors and backing global founders (she is already deeply engaged with the Bay Area, MEA, and SEA ecosystem).
