In those serene moments, under the moon's gentle glow, with the ceaseless ocean before me and majestic mountains behind, illuminated by the humble light of a phone flashlight – there’s a profound lesson. It's not about the precision of the pitch or the clarity of the tune but about permitting oneself the freedom of expression. Through my journey in health and wellness, I've realized the significance of being authentic and fully present. These experiences underscore the essence of personal and professional alignment. Allow yourself to express freely; it's the ultimate affirmation of one's trajectory towards holistic well-being. #AuthenticExpression #LeadershipThroughWellness

"In my recent Ted Talk, I shared my vision of intergenerational wellness. Intergenerational wellness refers to the holistic well-being of individuals, considering the impact of past experiences and trauma on present and future generations. Childhood experiences are influenced by parents/caregivers beliefs and behaviors, other adults (family, teachers, coaches, etc) and the environment. Together these impact to our worldview regarding work, relationships, and wellness." Written by: Vernisha Crawford, Executive Contributor

In the hustle and bustle of our lives, it's easy to view self-care and holistic wellness as luxuries. But let me share a powerful truth: Holistic wellness is not a luxury; it's a strategic approach to success, both personally and professionally. It's about more than just feeling good; it's about nurturing your mind, honoring your body, and connecting with your soul. Mental Resilience: When your mind is clear, focused, and at peace, you make better decisions, solve problems more effectively, and thrive in challenging situations. Physical Vitality: A healthy body supports productivity, energy, and longevity. When you're physically well, you can show up at your best every day. Soulful Connection: Finding meaning and purpose in your journey fuels your passion, creativity, and sense of fulfillment. It's the driving force behind your professional success. Don't underestimate the power of holistic wellness in your life. It's not about adding more to your to-do list; it's about prioritizing what truly matters. When you invest in your well-being, you're investing in your future success. 🌱 #HolisticWellness #SuccessMindset #WellnessJourney #SelfCare #MindBodySoul #PersonalDevelopment #ProfessionalSuccess #StrategicWellness

It's Monday. Do you know where your priorities are? I made a reel last week telling people that self-care isn't spa days. It's actually CARE OF SELF. The basics of being an adult. This is a message I shared at an tech innovation festival in 2017 based on my grad school thesis about workplace wellness (back when that wasn't even a thing yet). I said, "if there's no YOU, there's no business. Take care of yourself." People told me I was being idealistic, not realistic. Why? Because this was back when HUSTLE culture was being hustled by cishet white men (and the women who subscribed to it, too) until they came face to face with the reality that many people aren't motivated by toxic masculinity. The wellness industrial complex wants us to think that self-care is a luxury. It isn't. Self-care means caring for yourself. In the most basic ways. Eating well, drinking water, sleeping, moving your body. Get a facial or massage as supplemental, if you want to. But your daily priorities should include the basics of well-being. What's one thing you can do today to make this more real? #change #wellnessgoals https://lnkd.in/e8ae2fB6
Dillan DiGiovanni on Instagram: "I’m here to remind you of two things (because you’re smart) or maybe inspire you to think of these things differently. I get frustrated with myself for seeking validation outside of my own WISDOM and INFORMED PERSPECTIVE and then I remind myself I am 💯 human and navigating a complex society filled with tests of worthiness and humility as I attain my higher spiritu

Love, friendship, and dignity are hidden factors behind what makes us healthy. For leaders, you can’t measure a business success solely by profit, a football coach totally by wins, or a school by test scores alone. These are important outcomes dramatically impacted by the quality and nature of relationships between and among people. Invest in people. Not just their training but in their lives by listening to them, demonstrating compassion, and offering human kindness. Intentionally create cultures where you don’t just say people matter but demonstrate and orchestrate practices that show that they do. Everyday, not just their birthday. And when you do, you will improve their health and —yours. https://lnkd.in/g2Ex9i5b

Wondering where and how to begin to create an environment for collective flourishing and wellbeing? Last night I joined thousands to view a live stream of “The World We Make” hosted by the Center for Healthy Minds, University of Wisconsin–Madison. The founder of Healthy Minds, Dr. Richard J. Davidson, invited us to join him and a group of special guests as they explored how belonging is essential to our well-being and flourishing. I am so grateful to live in a community that creates space for the conversation, research and challenge of re-imagining and re-creating a kinder, wiser, and more compassionate and caring world. This is the work of our time. And, I believe, we are made for these times. Wondering how to begin to create more belonging? It can begin with the simple (and sometimes very challenging) choice to listen with openness, genuine interest and curiosity. When we begin to practice this quality of presence with ourSelves, we can more easily meet others where they are with compassion, curiosity, and openness. How are you being called to live, lead, and create space for flourishing in your life? #thrive #mindfulness #madisonwi #mindfulnessatwork #wellbeing #resilience #wellbeingatwork #care #executivecoaching #leadershipskills #authenticliving
