Rem Offshore's chief commercial officer Ronny Pål Kvalsvik highlighted Rem Offshore's efforts to reduce #emissions through #vesselefficiency improvements, #hybrid batteries and exploring #alternativefuels at Riviera Maritime Media's Maritime Hybrid, Electric &Hydrogen Fuel Cells Conference.   Mr Kvalsvik spoke of significant efficiency gains from optimising existing assets, citing a 58% #emissionreduction for a newbuild #windfarm vessel versus its predecessor. Additional savings were attributed to upgrades like electrical cranes, energy storage and onboard data analytics.   Rem Offshore aims to install up to 20 megawatt battery packs on vessels to enable flexible power management. For alternative fuels, Rem Offshore is focused on #methanol due to perceptions of near term availability versus options like #hydrogen. Exciting news for the offshore wind industry! The Rhode Island Commerce Corporation has partnered with OSW Partners to launch a supply chain concierge service aimed at helping developers, OEMs, and tier 1 companies find the right supply chain partners in the state. The service will work in tandem with RI's SupplyRI program, which sorts companies by expertise to match OSW companies with the appropriate RI companies. This will help reduce project risk and increase efficiency, as OSW Partners will ensure RI companies are equipped with the right information to deliver on projects. Size matters in the offshore wind segment. Specifically, the size of the wind turbine and its direct correlation to the size of the vessel that is to assist in the installation of turbines. For the 9M leading to June 2023, the company achieved a 65% rise in revenue to S$93 million and an almost 80% increase in gross profit to S$32 million.
