Let's all take a page from the book of Black women and make our voices heard. Congressperson Shirley Chisholm once said, "if they don't give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair." Her words continue to inspire women today as we witness an unprecedented number of people making their own space in the conversation about diversity, equity and inclusion - particularly Black women. For women, Blacks and others who have faced discrimination, it's important to remember your worth, not what anyone else thinks it is. Shirley Chisholm knew that securing a seat at the table meant using her voice to facilitate change and impact progress. We can all learn from her bravery and be the change we want to see in the world. Don't wait for an invitation, be determined to make an impact, have some courage. Don’t be convinced that what you say doesn’t matter. Use the power of your words and be heard - not just during Women’s History Month. We need all hands on deck all year long during these challenging times for our nation. If your voice didn't have power, nobody would be trying to silence it. If our history wasn’t important, nobody would be trying to hide it. So, believe in yourself, know that you belong even if you don’t receive an invitation. Bring up a chair for yourself and make a difference for all.♥️ This is what we try to do every single day at Ponder Diversity Group. #shirleychisholm #womenlead #blackwomenleaders #voices #seatatthetable #makeadifference #womenempoweringwomen #politicalleadership #genderequity #racialequity #diversityequityinclusion #diversity #equity #inclusion

🌟 Celebrating Women's History Month! 🌟 As we commemorate Women's History Month this March, let's reflect on the extraordinary achievements of women throughout history and honor their contributions to society. As a black woman myself, I stand with pride, recognizing the resilience, strength, and contributions of black women in shaping our world. This year, the theme for International Women's Day on March 8th, is #InspireInclusion. Imagine a world where diversity is celebrated, differences are embraced, and everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. Together, we can create a more inclusive world where every voice is heard, and every woman has the opportunity to succeed. Let's use this month as a catalyst for change, to inspire inclusion, and to uplift women from all walks of life. Together, let's continue to break barriers, shatter stereotypes, and pave the way for a more equitable future. Happy Women's History Month! 💪🚀 #WomensHistoryMonth #InspireInclusion #Equality #diversity #inclusion
Black women continue to inspire, create their own lane, and make history. They deserve all the flowers. Happy #WomensHistoryMonth to all the amazing women in the world.

Athena Unveils 'Athena Global Access' Campaign Honoring International Women’s Day Athena, a premier women’s advocacy organization that transforms STEM women into corporate leaders, marks International Women's Day by unveiling its new worldwide initiative, 'Athena Global Access.' In honor of this special occasion, we take pride in furthering the remarkable achievements and contributions of women leaders across Athena’s global community. By launching its 'Athena Global Access’ campaign, Athena deepens its impact in its mission to advance women leaders working in STEM fields, on a global scale. “In a world where inclusion and diversity are paramount to innovation and sustainability, Athena CEO, Holly Smithson said, Athena’s Global Access campaign offers a far-reaching invitation to women and their allies, regardless of background or geography, to pursue opportunities and flourish in their contributions to innovation. Athena’s educational and leadership content is generated by STEM women and male allies designed to tackle the most prevalent workforce challenges. Anchored in California's global STEM HUB for 25 years, Athena is privileged to lead this movement to accelerate innovation by promoting gender equality.” Demonstrating their investment to advance gender equity, cultivate leaders, expand networks, and ignite corporate growth, Qualcomm, RippleNami, Inc., Caelum Resources and San Diego State University join as founding Athena Global Access partners. “By offering on-demand, enterprise-wide access to Athena’s curated leadership content for corporate partners like RippleNami and individuals worldwide, we build much needed capacity to elevate women leaders solving for global challenges like climate change,” said Jaye Connolly, Chairman and CEO of RippleNami. As Athena expands its digital platform of curated leadership content, we catalyze a future of STEM where countless women and male allies now have access to education, advocacy and a global network to sculpt the equitable world we all deserve. #IWD #InternationalWomensDay #WomenLeadinginSTEM #WomeninSTEM #TheAthenaEffect https://hubs.ly/Q02nNNk_0

Last week, we had the pleasure of presenting to Cedar Valley Women Connect on creating, achieving, and maintaining balance in our lives. If this is something you struggle with, we invite you to do this exercise: Make a list of your values. (These values are the guiding principles with which we strive to live our lives.) Then, after you list out your values, reflect back on the last week. Where have you said yes to something outside of your values? Being aware of our "yes's" and if they are in alignment with our values or not will give us a clearer picture of where we could be out of balance. The question then becomes - Why am I saying yes to something that doesn't align with my values? And that is where we can grow and learn a lot as leaders and as important members of our families to create a better trajectory forward. - Nick Kuhle & Kayla Becker
Grateful to have been given the opportunity to host our local chapter of Women Lead Change, Cedar Valley Women Connect, this morning. Attendees were joined by Kyla & Nick from Greener Shepherd who presented on creating, achieving, and maintaining balance in our lives, which is a lesson we can all benefit from!
