Historic milestone: Online pharmacies recognised by EU law! 🚀 Did you hear? The European Parliament has adopted the regulation on the European Health Data Space (EHDS), marking a historic moment for online pharmacies across the EU. For the first time, online pharmacies are recognised as full and equal players in the healthcare system! 🏥💻 With this groundbreaking regulation, patients will gain electronic control over their personal health data throughout the EU, and healthcare professionals will have seamless access to patients’ electronic health records. This breakthrough means we at #RedcarePharmacy can accept e-prescriptions from different countries, enhancing our ability to meet our patients' needs more effectively. Our CEO, Olaf Heinrich, shares his excitement: "This development is a major milestone, as it allows us as an online pharmacy currently operating in seven EU Member States, to accept e-prescriptions from other countries, thereby meeting the needs of our patients”. He further adds: “To me, this represent a significant step towards enabling patients to obtain their prescription medicine digitally in the future and access additional healthcare services online”.
