🛬 Get-together in Madrid for the VRDB AV Team The VRDB (Virtual Recordings Database) Audiovisual SCAPR team got together last week in Madrid to discuss key topics regarding the optimization of the Database´s efficiency and the onboarding of members onto the platform. This type of in-person event is key to coordinate the use of VRDB and make sure that the specific needs of each societies are taken into account. The constant work on VRDB´s efficiency, led by numerous groups within SCAPR, enables faster and more accurate distribution of performer´s due revenues. An all-important endeavour. Amazing young people involved in the young carers project I used to run at Centre 33 Cambridgeshire and Peterborough getting the airtime they deserve! 🙏 2023 school census data suggests there were 39,000 'known' young carers in the UK - yet so many don't recognise the unpaid care they provide to a sibling or parent as deserving of any support, so the real number is likely to be much bigger. Stats suggest there could be as many as 820,000 young carers aged 11-15. If you know a child providing consistent, prolonged psychological/ emotional and/or physical support to someone they live with who has a disability, mental illness, or addiction, make them aware of their right to support from their Local Authority.
