Elevate your interview process by incorporating thought-provoking questions such as, "Is there a specific achievement or project from your past roles that you're particularly proud of?". This strategic inquiry not only invites candidates to reflect on their professional journey but also empowers them to highlight their proudest accomplishments and the value they bring to the table. This inquiry empowers candidates to showcase their accomplishments and articulate what they value in their work, providing valuable insights into their skills, motivations, and contributions. Integrating this question into your interview process not only facilitates meaningful dialogue but also empowers candidates to showcase their capabilities and potential as valuable assets to your team. It sets the stage for engaging conversations that delve beyond surface-level responses, ultimately leading to more informed hiring decisions and the identification of top talent. #RC #RecruitingCaddies #interviews #interviewquestions

The majority of employers say that the interview stage is the most important part of the hiring process. Your time is so precious and for each job that you advertise, you should be fully prepared and know exactly what you want to find out from each candidate in order to find the best talent around. There are a variety of factors to think about before you start interviewing candidates for your vacancy. ♦️What style of the interview are you going to do? ♦️ Who will conduct the interview? ♦️ How long should each interview last? ♦️ Where will you hold the interview? ♦️ What documents should you prepare? ♦️ What questions do you want to ask? When the interview starts, most candidates will be extremely nervous, so try and put them at ease by introducing yourself and your colleague, and giving them an overview of what they should expect within the interview and timescale. After all of the interviews have been conducted, it is very important to let all candidates know your decision and feedback as as soon as possiblle. It all helps towards your positive employer branding. Any negative feedback could hinder your chances of recruiting in the future and also effect your ability to attract top talent. Making your interviews more inclusive, doesn’t only help your candidates, but it helps you as a recruiter as well, here’s why: 👉 Your candidates will be more prepared and less likely to drop out of the interview 👉 You’ll get a better insight into a candidates relevant experience for the role 👉 You’ll receive well thought out answers and fewer mind blanks 👉 Your candidate will be more relaxed, more themselves so you can see what they’ll actually be bringing to the work environment 👉 You will be more likely to choose a suitable candidate for the role they will be filling rather than a candidate who performs well in interviews (unless their job is being interviewed) 👉 Your candidates will provide you with more skills, knowledge and experience that you can assess It’s a win-win really, isn’t it?! 💪 So if you think that offering to release interview questions in advance defeats the point of the interview, maybe it’s time to rethink your reasons why and look into your neuroinclusive recruitment policies. Reach out to me if you would like guidance on how to make your recruitment process more neuroinclusive. #Neuroinclusion #InclusiveInterviews #InclusiveRecruiment

Momentum. It's a vital aspect of any interview process. It reflects your ability to make quick decisions and keeps candidates engaged and excited about the opportunity. But it can be tough to maintain momentum, especially at this time of year. When momentum slows, candidates can lose interest or assume a lack of interest from the company. At this point Communication becomes vital. Open and transparent communication during a slowdown in the interview process can reassure candidates and maintain enthusiasm. Acknowledging any delays and providing updates fosters a positive candidate experience. Pro tip: Consider doing this directly with the candidate, not just via your recruiter. Candidates are wary of being stalled as others progress in the process, a direct email or call to provide an update works wonders! Good luck to those interviewing this week! #interviewprocess #engagement #momentum #communication

🌟 Prioritize the Interview Process: A Message to Hiring Managers 🌟 As hiring managers, it's crucial to make interviewing a top priority. Some managers tend to take it lightly and request rescheduling interviews multiple times with candidates due to other obligations or last-minute issues. While I understand that life can throw curveballs and occasional rescheduling may be necessary, it's essential to consider the candidate experience throughout this process. During interviews, candidates are not only showcasing their skills and qualifications, but they're also evaluating the company culture and the hiring team. If candidates don't feel valued and prioritized during this crucial stage, they're more likely to perceive that they won't be valued and prioritized if they join the team. Let's ensure that every candidate feels respected and appreciated throughout the interview journey. By demonstrating professionalism and respect for their time, we not only enhance the candidate experience but also positively shape the employer brand. Remember, the way we treat candidates reflects the values and culture of our organization. Let's make every interview count! #Hiring #CandidateExperience #EmployerBrand #InterviewingTips
