Navigating your next job interview with finesse involves a strategic blend of professionalism, positivity, and effective communication. Consider these key principles to empower excellence in your career journey: 1. Express Enthusiasm: Start by showcasing genuine interest and eagerness to contribute. Your enthusiasm can be infectious and leave a positive impression on the interviewer. Demonstrate your willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the company culture. 2. Overprepare, but Don't Overwhelm: Thorough preparation is essential, but it's crucial to strike a balance. Be well-versed in your experiences, achievements, and the company, but avoid inundating the interviewer with excessive information. Provide relevant details concisely, ensuring that your responses are tailored to the questions asked. 3. Maintain Calm and Confidence: Nervousness is natural, but it's vital to manage it effectively. Take deep breaths, stay composed, and exude confidence. Being calm allows you to articulate your thoughts clearly. Keep your responses concise and to the point, avoiding the pitfalls of rambling or providing unnecessary details that may lead to information overload. By embodying these principles, you not only present yourself as a polished and professional candidate but also ensure that your interview leaves a lasting, positive impact. Your ability to balance enthusiasm, preparation, and composure will set you apart as a candidate who is not just qualified but also an excellent fit for the organization. #RC #RecruitingCaddies #interview #interviewtips

5 unique questions to ask at the end of an interview. That was the title of a post giving interview advice and of course I read it (as I am sure many have). I think we can all agree that questions at the end are important. It's the last impression you give them. So, here is what one of the suggestions were: Do you provide any training for the role? This is not unique and what is worse, it doesn't give them any insight into how you think, what is important to you and how you may go about things. Yet, I cannot tell you how many people I coach plan to ask this. Most companies provide at least basic on the job training and others an array of training for each role in addition to some 'generic' skills. So, if you think about this question again...is it a great one to ask? I say, no. If you feel that this a must ask, perhaps a better way to structure it would be "Aside from the normal training provided for this role, there are some specialised skills and knowledge required. How does the company approach this in support of what I believe my transferrable skills of XXX are?" PS: What would you say if an interviewer responded to the original question with "No, you will be left in an office alone, we allocate you a key client/project, leave clues by the coffee machine and watch what happens". By all means google assistance, or take advice from people that offer interview prep as a service but apply some thinking to it. #interviewtips #interviewprep #performability

Go into your interview with questions ready ✅ Your CV has done the hard work and you have secured an interview. At the end of the interview the hiring manager will always ask ‘what questions do you have for us?’ Don’t be one of those candidates that say ‘none, you have answered all my questions’ Show them you have carefully thought about the role and company and have some questions prepared. The questions may have been covered in the interview however ask for clarification by asking the questions. Some of my top questions to ask include; 💥Why has the position become available? 💥What would the role look like in 6 months time? 💥What training and development is available? 💥What is the management style ie micro management or full autonomy in the role? 💥What is the working culture? 💥When was the last candidate promoted from this role and how long did it take them? Questions show your interest in the role and company. You also show you have researched and prepared for the interview 💯 #interview #interviewtips #interviewquestions P.S - the fireworks are from my youngest child’s school firework display 🧨🎆

You decided to attend an interview without a preparation? A very 👏🏼 Bad 👏🏼 Idea 👏🏼 Here’s why: You can’t possibly know all of interview questions, so being 100% ready is probably not even an option, but… When it comes to “Behavioural questions” (it’s when the topics are mainly around motivation and cultural fit to the company) that’s when a proper preparation can be very handy. You don’t want the questions as simple as “Why you want to join our company?” or “What do you know about our product/services?” to catch you off guard. Research the company and gather as much information as you can. With this in hand you can practise your answers. And above all, you will enter the interview with CONFIDENCE, with the feeling that you are in control. It will give you a huge advantage compared to those other unprepared candidates. When you don’t sound convincing or you don’t know what to say at all and keep mumbling… Then it’s usually a major red flag for the hiring team. So, here are your options: Do you want to be that candidate with a red flag next to their name or do you want to be the one who was easy to talk to and sounded confident? #careers #motivation #personaldevelopment #jobinterviews #hiringandpromotion #whatinspiresme #hiring #jobsearch #jobseekers
