Over 100 applications in less than 3 days.๐ฅ But here's what gets to me: I SPECIFICALLY said, "Don't hit me with the generic jazz." ๐ต๐ซ ๐๐๐ญ, ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ 70% ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ'๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฆ๐ ๐จ๐ฅ' ๐ซ๐๐ก๐๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ก๐๐ญ๐ญ๐ข. ๐ โ High-flying words, overused 'skills' badges, and ZERO evidence of actual prowess in the role! ๐คฆ โ And if you're shifting lanes from another career? Show me the map, people! How does your old road lead to mine? I gotta ask... WHY? ๐คท In today's job terrain, with the economy doing its wild dance, how can anyone afford to sling half-baked pies and hope for a bite? And then, oh boy, the complaints pour in. "Finding a job is like hunting unicorns!" ๐ฆ Well, maybe it's because you're using the wrong bait? Come on, folks! ๐ฅ How about we suit up, sharpen our tools, and truly gear up for the job hunt? Slap on some genuine passion, give that CV a glow-up and pen a motivation letter that truly shows YOU. Here's what I'd do: โ Strip away all the fluffy cliched terms and skills โ Showcase success in your past roles โ Keep the CV max to 2 pages and the motivation letter to half a page. โ Show with tangible results how you are a 10/10 fit for the role. But, which role do you hire? 1๏ธโฃ Hire someone for tasks you ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ know so you can:ย - Delegate more tasksย - Increase your throughput rate - Focus on higher-value activities Think junior roles like Growth or Operation Associate or generalist roles like Chief of Staff or Operations Team Lead.ย 2๏ธโฃ Hire someone for tasks you ๐ ๐๐โ๐ ๐๐๐๐ so you can:ย - Solve a critical bottleneckย - Increase task specializationย - Unleash creativity and growth Think functional roles such as Social Media Manager, Software Engineer, or Accounting Lead. I think the right answer is bothโthe best leaders hire a mix of junior generalists and expert specialists. But, every hire should propel the organization forward โฉ The best hires I've made added more value than I could have imagined And left me saying "I wish I hired this person sooner!"
