According to one of the leading research organization, around 72% of the retail shopping still happens at the store and 88% of the overall purchases have a store component in it. Yes, online shopping is making its presence felt, but has a long way to go or rather a very difficult road to travel. The store purchases provide in-person interactions and engagement and hence will always remain the de facto mode of shopping. However, to be ahead, the stores will need to focus a lot on personalization and the retailers know it. More than 60% of the retailers are working on enhancing the in-store experience through personalization as their top priority.
