The $3,500 pricetag for the Apple VisionPro is not a detriment to the launch of the device. Rather, it may actually be the reason behind the launch. The pricetag makes the device a status symbol, worthy of curiousity. (As a happy coincidence, the high price mitigates some of the risk of debilitating product shortages during the first days of the release.) The true purpose of this launch does not seem to be to sell devices right now. Rather, it's a branding exercise that helps Apple identify use cases for the device as a small group of individuals begin to use the goggles "in the wild." #Marketing #Tech #Innovation #ProductLaunch

Continuing our 4th of July series, here are Jaycon’s Top 5 picks for for US innovations throughout history 🎆 This list is the result of a poll involving Jaycon employees from our marketing team to our engineering team, reflecting the ingenuity and impact of these groundbreaking achievements. TOP 5 5th - TELEVISION 📺 Kicking off our list is the beloved box that's been entertaining us since the 1920s. From the Moon landing to the latest binge-worthy series, television has been our window to the world (and occasionally, a black mirror). It's changed how we consume information, entertainment, and political campaign ads. Love it or hate it, there's no denying TV's impact on modern society. 4th - ELECTRIC LIGHT BULB 💡 Thomas Edison's bright idea comes in at number four. While Edison didn't invent the first electric light, he created the first commercially successful version. This invention extended productive hours and paved the way for numerous other electrical innovations. Imagine a world without light bulbs – we'd still be squinting at our smartphones by candlelight! I help Project Managers seek solutions for enhanced site accessibility in construction. Explore innovative temporary road solutions for streamlined operations and increased efficiency!s | Director of New Technologies UIS
I'm all for capturing the moment, But this is unbelievable! Nearly everyone single person is watching whats going on in front of them through a screen! This is why I made the resolution to be more present, strange coming from a guy in technology innovation I know but, there's a time and place. Is it not more interesting to be looking at what's going on around you, how others are reacting and drinking in the atmosphere? I made a conscious effort over the Christmas break to be off my phone. I bought a classic Nokia a couple of years ago to get me off my smart phone. I have also lost the charger for it so that was a big fail. I had to resort to locking my phone away so i wasn't tempted "to just see whats happening in the world". The result was more games played with my son, more conversations with family and friends and a lot less Doom-Scrolling, I habit I intend to continue into the year. Let me know below how you intend to be more present this year. #entrepreneur #utilityindustry #innovation
