Four US Navy ships are headed to Bahrain next year as part of a new mine countermeasures force in the Middle East. Our AN/AQS-20 mine-hunting sonar system will aid the force aboard USS Canberra, the first littoral combat ship to be equipped with a mine countermeasures mission package. Love this and the fact that a US ship is named after Australia's capital, "Canberra". A visible indication of the close cooperation between the US and Australia.

Quite impressive feat of engineering: https://youtu.be/ZGoUKeMsFC4 Man I wish we were developing stuff like this in Europe as well. This is military technology that solely saves lives.

Awesome ships! You can see how technologically advanced they are!
