Congratulations to Dr Brad Ferguson for being named a finalist for ‘Engineer of the Year’ in this year’s Australian Defence Industry Awards! Brad is Chief Engineer on the LAND 19 Phase 7B Program, which has transformed the Australian Army’s Short Range Ground Based Air Defence (SRGBAD) capability, delivering a National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System that is tailored to Australia’s harsh environments. Brad’s engineering leadership not only allowed the successful delivery of a transformational capability to the Army on time and on budget, but has also shaped a generation of engineers within the company who have taken inspiration from his exceptional professional mastery, pragmatic engineering judgement, innovative, entrepreneurial spirit, and his personable and collaborative approach.
