⚙The "choice" between #rotor structure, performance, and cost As we all know, most new energy electric vehicles🚗 use interior-mounted permanent #magnet synchronous motors. Interior-mounted motors are divided into distributed and centralized winding forms. New energy vehicles use distributed winding #motors, so why not use centralized ones❓ Centralized motors can generate greater torque, but they also produce more harmonics, resulting in greater losses and NVH issues for the motor. 🌌Distributed motors can optimize NVH issues by coordinating pole slots to control the order, frequency, and magnitude of the generated #electromagnetic waves. Electric motor materials, are there any alternatives to "rare" appearing❓ We all know that rare earth elements such as neodymium, dysprosium, and terbium are used to make permanent #magnets in motors🧲. As of 2023, 81% of the motors used in BEVs are of the permanent magnet type, indicating a high reliance on rare earth elements. Many companies are seeking alternative technologies using non-rare-earth magnet #motors. Tesla and BMW are the main drivers of such technologies, using induction and externally excited motors, respectively. With the demand for motors set to increase exponentially and no other potentially viable and commercially feasible #technologies, I believe the demand for #neodymium will continue to rise📈 in the near future, which may pose more challenges. #magnetism #magnetics #magnet #NdFeB #NdFeBmagnet #SinterdNdFeb #SmCo #AlNiCo #RareEarthMaterial #MagnetFactory #MagnetManufacturer #NdFeBmagnetFactory #radiation #magnetic
