We're proud to have Brandon as a President's Award winner! Not only has he grown on the job, but his dedication to doing the job right, and growing in patience proves true character that we're glad to have on our team. "In this job there can be overwhelming amounts of numbers you are dealing with at a given time, so I’ve enjoyed the patience that is required to double or even triple check that whatever function you are executing is correct and can be traced in the system correctly. That was overwhelming when I first started, but you get a sense of satisfaction when everything goes as it should." #employeeappreciation #bestplacetowork #businesservices #businessoutsourcing

Beyond thrilled to receive the Rookie of the Year Award at Points North during my first year here as a Senior Marketing Specialist! 🏆 This honor would not have been possible without the mentoring and empowerment from my boss Alise Houserman, who gave me room to take risks, spearhead strategy ideas, and grow exponentially over this past year. I’ve also had the opportunity to learn so much from the outstanding people at Points North through some of the most powerful collaboration across teams I have ever seen at a company. A special thanks to my colleagues who have taken the time to give me input, educate me, and feed their amazing perspectives and ideas to our team to turn into marketing gold! 💪 Here are just a few key ways our culture at Points North has helped push me to be the best version of myself this year: 1. Being Customer-Centric is Key: Truly ruthless prioritization and focus on customer needs, pain points, and dislikes has helped me evolve our strategies and prevent company-outward thinking. 2. Fail Fast, Learn Faster: I am the type of person who gets paralyzed by perfection - being told by my mentors that failure is okay and expected when growing has been huge in learning to learn market signals and gather crucial data. 3. Don't Underestimate the Power of Purpose: Highlighting how individual contributions matter makes every project feel more meaningful. Internally, we like to talk about "Celebrating the Wins, no Matter the Size" - feeling great about wins every month shifts your perspective on every. single. task. 4. Talent Development Cultivates Passion: Points North has pushed me to break out of my comfort zone in terms of personal development, including attending events that have led to new key partnerships and significantly boosted my confidence in new areas of marketing. Knowing I will continue to get this support makes me so much more committed to my team and focused on developing skills that will directly impact us day-to-day. Thanks again to everyone who has mentored me in this new role - I can't wait to continue to exceed expectations and help Alise take this team to even newer heights this year! #RookieOfTheYear #Marketing #WomenInBusiness #CareerDevelopment #DigitalMarketing

What fun. Last night was a customer graduation, and a great excuse to dress up in a tux. Yes, yes, I was wearing shorts because it was a virtual event but making the effort to dress up was important. Celebrating the commitment of the 30 Sales Management graduates was incredibly important or as one senior leader shared, it was "significant". The journey of almost 12-months on the program was celebrated with graduates sharing their stories, our facilitators making special mentions for stand-out participation, and their leaders discussing how this will make a huge difference to their stakeholders (shareholders and customers). My favourite quote for the evening: "we are building the right Sales Management muscle memory". My favourite moment: Celebrating the 12 ladies on the Cohort who formed part of the most inclusive, representative group of managers in a traditionally male-dominated industry. A great reminder of how important it is to pause to celebrate. And to arrive dressed up for the part.

As we dive headfirst into the bustling RKO planning season, Q4, and the holiday rush, let's not overlook the importance of acknowledging our cross-functional partners. It's crucial to embrace empathy, taking a moment to truly understand the unique challenges others may be facing before engaging with them. 💰 Sellers are diligently grinding to cap off the year on a high note, striving to achieve their annual goals and secure coveted positions at club, all while aiming to hit their financial targets. 🚂 Enablers are immersed in a whirlwind of activity, tirelessly planning for the future, including RKO/SKO events, awards ceremonies, and extensive annual planning initiatives. 💹 Ops teams are immersed in their own grind, meticulously contemplating territory planning, account strategies, and complex compensation plans. 💠 Leadership, too, is in the trenches, working tirelessly to conclude the year on a strong note, providing support to ops, aligning with board goals, and strategically planning for the upcoming fiscal year. So, how can we collectively amplify our empathy during this hectic season? Personally, I'm dedicated to active listening, leaning in, and consistently asking, "How can I support you?" Let's be mindful of the unique challenges each person and role bring to the table. Together, let's ensure our empathy hats and hearts are on full display this season. 🌟 #empathy #enablement #YearEndGrind #supporteachother

Managing Director Promotion Series. Part 3. Another one of our past placements has made MD for a tier one IB. Congratulations. As usual we've had a chat and here are the pointers they provided for anyone looking to get there in the Compliance space: 1. Become an SME in everything you do. Whatever level you reach you always need to be recognised as the "go to" person. Learn / read / educate yourself to be the absolute best in your product space. 2. Communicate effectively. You've got to communicate point 1. People want answers, not a convoluted explanation. Is it possible? How? Make it quick. 3. Demonstrate effective stakeholder management. Hey... they gotta like you! What struck me from the meeting with this newly promoted MD was just how excited and proud they were about the promotion. Real pump the air stuff. Not relief. More excited at gaining the recognition for being good at something they were passionate about. So I'd add in a point 4. You need to be proud of being good in your subject.
