If you are planning trips to Durban or up/down the coast, please be aware that congestion is going to become very real at spots where the road narrows from 3 lanes to 2 lanes. CONGESTION POINTS 1. N3-E between Chota Motala and Ohrtmann interchanges 2. N3-E bound between New England Road and Blackburrow Road interchanges 3. N3-E bound at the top of KwaZulu hill approximately 1.4 km past Market Road interchange 4. N3-E bound approaching the Lion Park/Lynnfield Park interchange. New findings suggest that Queensland's property market performed better than most other regions over the June quarter. In Bundaberg, houses are up 15.19 per cent & unit prices have increased 15.45 per cent over the 12 months to June. My latest 2nd Quarter 2024 FNB Property Insights note covering perceived demand-supply balance in the 3 main commercial property classes, namely Office, Industrial and Retail Property. In both the Retail and Industrial markets, on a national average basis brokers perceive investor demand for properties to exceed the supply on the market, with only the Office market remaining (very significantly) oversupplied. On a regional basis, at the weak end of the spectrum Greater Johannesburg metro region remains oversupplied in all 3 property classes. SA’s two largest coastal metros i.e., Cape Town and eThekwini, boasted the most positive industrial demand exceeding supply readings with the strongest reading in Cape Town. The Greater Johannesburg region remained the weakest, with supply exceeding demand by a significant margin. In the office property market, all major metro regions were perceived to be oversupplied yet the City of Cape Town recorded the smallest oversupply of all the major metro regions. Trading densities, measured by the Clur Shopping Centre Index, at more than 4.1 million square metres of prime retail space in South Africa, dipped further in the first quarter of 2024 but the rate of contraction was more muted than in the last six months of 2023. The Clur Index is an independent industry standard and economic indicator, which is part of the broader Clur Collective retail asset management support platform.
