Our question today, Q’uo, concerns activism. On one hand, we have statements from Ra like this one from 34.9 where they say: “There are some few whose desires to aid society are of a green ray nature or above. These entities, however, are few, due to the understanding, may we say, of fourth ray, that the universal love freely given is more to be desired than principalities or even the rearrangement of peoples or political structures.” We also have reminders from the Confederation that the most powerful and fundamental service is one of being, not doing. That is, the radiation of realization of oneness with the Creator. On the other hand, we hear from voices like Martin Luther King, Jr. and others studying oppression that, in a societal body, silence and non-resistance is tantamount to tacit support of unjust or perhaps even tyrannical policy. Can you please speak to these seemingly competing ideas and how the seeker who wants to contribute positively to creating a positive society can be of the greatest service?

Celebrating Freedom and Liberation on August 1st August 1st marks a significant day in history - Emancipation Day, a time to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved individuals. It marks the actual day in 1834 when the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833 came into effect across the British Empire. The importance of this day cannot be understated, as It marks the end of a dark period in human history, and represents the beginning of a new chapter. This poignant occasion serves as a reminder of the struggles endured by those who fought for their liberty & dignity. It celebrates the triumph of human spirit and unity in breaking the chains of oppression. Emancipation Day is not only a chance to reflect on the dark chapters of our past but also a call to action for a brighter future, one where equality, justice, and compassion prevail. Emancipation holds both a deeply personal and collective significance for the descendants of black slaves. It represents a journey toward healing, empowerment, and the continuous pursuit of a society where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. Let us cherish this day, honor our ancestors, and strive for a world where freedom knows no bounds. dA

According to www.lausanne.org, the large majority of missionaries tend to focus on locations that are already considered reached or developed, where the population may already be familiar with or practicing Christianity. This highlights the imbalance in missionary efforts, as endeavours are concentrated on areas that are less challenging. This is why, at Rophe Global, we answer the call to the unreached - where the need is greatest. Join us in shifting the balance and making an impact where it truly matters. www.ropheglobal.com #Evangelism #MedicalOutreach #RopheGlobal

REFLECTING, HONORING, AND CELEBRATING JUNETEENTH FREEDOM DAY | JUNE 19, EVERY YEAR On June 19, 1865, the Emancipation Proclamation which had been issued on January 1, 1863, was read to enslaved African Americans in Texas by Gordon Granger. June 19th is now a National Holiday. For me, Juneteenth requires prayer and faith to maintain an attitude of gratitude about where we are now compared to where we have been. I'm on my way to Dr. Opal Lee's Freedom Walk at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas to pay respect to those who paved the way for our journey. US Census in 1860 recorded 4,000,000 enslaved African Americans though the number is likely significantly undercounted. On June 19, 1865, US records show that there were 250,000 enslaved African Americans in Texas when Gordon Granger arrived. History shows that chattel slavery continues to change forms and all new forms must be continuously confronted. “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gc9dknya https://lnkd.in/gRYTyjA3 https://lnkd.in/gtmgNt_X https://lnkd.in/gyVe_VZ7 #CelebrateJuneteenth #FreedomDay #USAirForceVeteran #TheCitadel #The4DUnicorn #4DU #4DUniversePublishers #TEDxPleasantGrove #HabitatForHumanity #UniversityHills #BWD #PVSA #Impact #Legacy #GratitudeIsMySuperpower

Each MLK Day, my children and I honor Dr. King’s legacy by immersing ourselves in his profound speeches. ‘The Mountain Top’ reminds us to stand for freedom, regardless of whose freedoms are at stake, and instills hope to persevere despite our circumstances. ‘I Have a Dream’ paints a picture of America’s ideal future and urges us to hold our leaders accountable to the nation’s founding promises. ‘The Other America’ implores us to reject inequality in all its forms. Lastly, ‘Three Evils’ identifies peace, equality, and equity as the antidotes to: 🔸poverty 🔸racism 🔸militarism I’m continually inspired by my children’s grasp of these complex themes of love 🖤 , peace ☮ , and equality ⚖ . If it’s been a while since you’ve heard these speeches by MLK Jr., I encourage you to revisit them. They have the power to nourish our spirits. #MLKDay #HappyMLKDay

Juneteenth has become the most well-known celebration for the ending of slavery in the United States. In fact, it is viewed by some as America’s second Independence Day. The history of this important celebration is complex and often misunderstood. #Juneteenth isn’t a straightforward story of emancipation, nor did it necessarily improve conditions in short order, or across the country. Freedom was not a straight line from the Emancipation Proclamation to Juneteenth to the Civil Rights movement. In fact, there's around 100 yrs between the Revolutionary War, Juneteenth, and MLK. Individuals had to fight for every piece of freedom they experienced and the struggle for justice that started long before the war did not end with emancipation. Today, we celebrate #freedom, #perseverance, and the value of people. May we each recogize where injustice exists and champion the oppressed.
