Over the weekend, Rainstick co-founder Darryl Lyons attended the Indigenous Australian Datathon at James Cook University. Realising the potential of combining indigenous wisdom with technology, Darryl has been the driving force behind this event for the past 3 years, advocating for solutions that address both community and global challenges. The Datathon's goal is to unite data professionals, innovators, indigenous communities, and students to create digital solutions grounded in the real-life needs of Indigenous Australians. We believe such collaborative forums can position Australia as a frontrunner in respectfully engaging and celebrating indigenous knowledge alongside data-driven technologies, creating solutions with deep community impact. Congratulations to all participants and to those working behind the scenes to nurture indigenous expertise and entrepreneurial spirit.
Brilliant! Well done Darryl.
