1moThis looks like it is missing someone from Sustrans or a similar organisation to make the case for investing in infrastructure for safe walking, cycling & wheeling. The most cost-effective way to slash transport emissions is through investing in active travel, and it has enormous positive benefits to public health, community cohesion, local businesses, noise reduction, and quality of life. 71% of trips (England, 2022) are under 5 miles, and of this 67% of trips between 1-5 miles are done by car. Invest in safe, connected active travel networks and we would see billions of miles per year of car trips evaporate. Fewer cars, not (just) newer cars!
