***FUN FACTS ABOUT ARMY SOLDIERS*** Enlisted soldiers are the backbone of the US Army. A lot of civilians confuse them with commissioned officers. They are not referred to as Sir or Ma'am. They go by their rank followed by their last name. I also hear the term MOS thrown around a lot too. Military Occupational Speciality is for enlisted soldiers. Officers use the term Area of Concentration when identifying their what job they perform. For example: 70B, Health Services Administration. #funfacts #army #knowledge #tradition #understanding #armyculture #customs #courtesies #rank #enlisted #officer #jobs #recruiting #medical #professionals #hiring

#HRCAnniversary Since the establishment of our nation’s Army in 1775, its leaders recognized the need for organization and personnel management. These concepts have gone through drastic changes and improvements since the American Revolution and in 1973, the predecessor of U.S. Army Human Resources Command – the U.S. Army Military Personnel Center, or MILPERCEN – opened as the home of Army personnel operations. Over the next three decades, several Army Directorates which all focused on various aspects of personnel management consolidated within MILPERCEN, leading to the formation of U.S. Army Human Resources Command in 2003. This year, #USArmyHRC celebrates its 50th anniversary as the Army’s home of personnel operations and its 20th anniversary as a command. Today, HRC continues to evolve in its efforts to best serve our valued customers – Soldiers, units, Families, veterans and retirees – in ways that have a transformative impact on their careers and Family life, while creating a positive and lifelong connection to our Army. #SoldiersFirst #MakingADifference #WeAreHRC #USArmy #ArmyMissionCritical #VitalHRC

MILITARY RECRUITMENT. There's a challenge that exists related to recruiting eligible applicants for all branches of the military. Therefore, it becomes necessary for those who served to encourage as well as speak positively about joining the military. It's been well over twenty-years since wearing my Army uniforms. In my role as a retired service-member. I have initiated conversations to young persons about serving in the military. Several have actually made a decision to join branches of the military. There's one person who will join the Navy in the next several days. #military #veterans

On April 23, 1908, Congress created the Medial Reserve Corps, the official predecessor of the Army Reserve. Following World War I, under the National Defense Act of 1920, Congress reorganized the United States land forces by authorizing a Regular Army, a National Guard, and an Organized Reserve (Officer Reserve Corps and Enlisted Reserve Corps) of thirty-five divisions, which later became the Army Reserve. This provided a peacetime pool of trained Reserve officers and enlisted men for use in war. The Army Reserve Corps of Medical Officers was created with 160 physicians; 116 years later, there are more than 200,000 Reservists in more than 148 fields that may be called to action when their country requires their service. #Happybirthday #armyreserves #NICoE #DefenseIntrepidNetwork #DIN
