“I think the most important thing about what we’re doing with the hack-a-thons is bringing people together,” said Dave Ingram, co-founder of CharlestonHacks and founder of Querri an AI-focused startup in Mount Pleasant. “In a world of increasing interaction with technology — in a post-covid world where we all went more remote and more at-home — I think there’s a growing gap for being together and creating.” Querri is a proud sponsor of Charleston Hacks. 🧰🛠️🚀Building AI Applications with Weaviate is powerful, generally applicable, and a foundational tool for AI projects of all sizes. We're seeing Weaviate used in starter projects that bud into AI startups, and we're seeing it in enterprises scale up their business offering with the power of AI powered search through embeddings stored in Weaviate. 🤯Check out the Photo! We pulled together almost 200 developers around San Francisco, gave them an opportunity to win cool prizes, but most importantly learn about solutions to problems that developer companies are building to serve the market today. At this event, Strada (YC S23), OctoAI, Twelve Labs, and of course Weaviate showcased their products and demonstrated the value they could deliver in so many different applications. I can't recount the number of impressive start up founders I met and the services they are building, as well as professionals who all work at massive companies. I'm so thankful and grateful that I can host these events, and so thankful for the developer community I get to build with! Let's keep building and shipping!

An INTJ Fund conversation with Emily Dorsey about AI and her experience at Y Combinator. Emily is the CTO and co-founder of Pyq AI (YC W23)). Pyq makes it easy for companies to build their own customized, task-specific and reliable AI models (including ones that are HIPAA compliant for my healthcare friends). The resulting models are more accurate, faster and cheaper to use than off-the-shelf solutions . Emily is the textbook example of who I'm looking for in building the INTJ Fund community. She's an INTJ woman that studied computer science at Harvey Mudd College. Emily then joined Microsoft as software engineer focused on augmented reality / mixed reality prior to co-founding her current AI company. This video was originally recorded last May while I was in the early stages of forming my thoughts around INTJ Fund. Since then, Pyq has been recognized by YC as one of the top 100 machine learning startups. If you know of any INTJ or ENTJ women with a computer science background interested in starting their own company one day - I want to meet them and help them! Happy to connect people in my network to Emily! A link to the extended version of our conversation is in the comments where you can learn about how Emily's personal system for planning and organization. #AI #intj #venturecapital #womeninstem #computersciencestudents #aritificialintelligence #womeninai
