The Best and Worst Travel Destinations for LGBTQ Travelers The Gay Travel Index (the 2024 edition) was revealed to help LGBTQ travelers' safety. May 17th is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. As the ELTA - European LGBTQ Travel Alliance, our commitment is to work together with destinations, institutions, and tourism operators in Europe to promote increasingly inclusive tourism and seek dialogue to help those most in need. Yesterday marked the conclusion of the second edition of the Estates General of European LGBTQ Tourism, an assembly that allowed industry experts to discuss DE&I themes and LGBTQ rights, showing how these impact tourism. It emerged that Europe is certainly one of the most welcoming destinations in the world, but in many destinations, overly strict legislation still exists, which does not guarantee equal rights for everyone. In this case, the work of local LGBTQ associations has proven to be fundamental. Our commitment will be to support destinations in difficulty even more, standing by their side in the fight for a world without discrimination. #IDAHOBIT #IDAHOBIT2024
