🌍✨ Reflecting on the meaningful journey of driving social responsibility at Vista!  🌱🌈 During my time as Global Brand & Integrated Marketing Lead at Vista, I had the privilege to lead initiatives that not only added value to our organization but also contributed to making the world a more inclusive and sustainable place. Here are some key highlights: 🗓️ Global Cultural Moments Calendar: I spearheaded the launch of an entirely new Global Cultural Moments Calendar. We identified and celebrated key events such as International Women’s Day, Pride Month, Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, and Earth Day. These moments allowed us to shine a light on diversity and sustainability, fostering a more inclusive workplace. 📚 Content Series for Underrepresented Communities: We believed in the power of storytelling to amplify underrepresented voices. To this end, I created a content series on our website that showcased inspiring stories from underrepresented minorities and highlighted minority-owned businesses. By sharing their experiences and journeys, we aimed to promote diversity and support these incredible individuals and enterprises. It's humbling to have been part of a team that took real steps toward making a positive impact. As I embark on my next professional chapter, I'm excited to bring this passion for social responsibility, diversity, and sustainability to a new opportunity. Yuisa Perez's sense of purpose goes back to high school. She had long felt othered, not least of which by the mispronunciation of her name. With over 20 years of passion as a Human Resources Leader, she realizes that life is about something bigger. Her mission begins with wanting to be a help to others and a purpose to bring inclusion and a sense of belonging wherever anybody may want to go. Some things to think about: 1️⃣ Simply creating policies and positions for DEI doesn’t work. Friends, the last year has been a journey of personal growth and transformation, leading me to an exciting new chapter. I’m thrilled to introduce my entrepreneurial debut, combining my extensive experience in the advertising, marketing and communications industry and my passion for social advocacy. It’s called Dígame. In Spanish, dígame (pronounced: dee-gah-meh) means “talk to me.” It’s an invitation to pull up a chair and have a conversation. I believe as an industry we are at a crossroads: it's time for brands to connect—authentically and meaningfully—with diverse groups in ways that truly matter, or get left behind. Dígame is a consultancy dedicated to helping brands create genuine and impactful connections with often-overlooked audiences, including Latino, Black, Veteran, LGBTQ and other diverse communities. The consultancy's mission is rooted in a deep understanding of the cultural nuances and rich diversity that define these communities. Dígame serves as a navigator in this journey, ensuring brand messages hit home and resonate deeply with these rich, lively communities. Services include business and brand strategy, in-depth market research, creative campaign development, cultural intelligence training, meeting facilitation and more. I’ve also joined forces with experts who are insiders from these communities and fierce advocates to bring insights and creative that cut deeper than the usual. So, dígame—let’s have a conversation! Pink Ladies and T-Birds - Rydell High’s Guide to Workplace Inclusivity This summer I’ve been on a bit of a tour of West End musicals with a friend and recently we saw Grease the Musical which got us singing, dancing, and (for me at least) thinking a little more about D&I So what’s going on at Rydell High and what can we learn from it ⚡️Authenticity Amidst Conformity ⚡️ Sandy's journey from a reserved newcomer to embracing a bolder version of herself shows the pressures of conformity. In many workplaces, there's an unspoken rule of blending in. However, true progress is made when we feel empowered to bring our whole selves to our roles, fostering richer ideas and perspectives. ⚡️ The Value of Varied Voices ⚡️ The T-Birds and the Pink Ladies, each with their distinct personalities, highlight the strength found in diverse groups. They might fight and have differences, but when they unite they're a force to be reckoned with. Similarly, when businesses value a diversity of voices, the outcome is a more resilient and innovative team. ⚡️ Beyond the Surface ⚡️ At first glance, characters like Rizzo or Kenickie might be easily typecast based on stereotypes. Yet as the plot unravels we see their vulnerabilities and dreams, challenging our initial perceptions. This mirrors the dangers of judging colleagues based on surface-level assumptions. An inclusive culture nurtures deeper connections and understanding. ⚡️Celebrating Unity in Diversity ⚡️ The electrifying finale with the entire school dancing joyously is a testament to the power of unity. While they all have distinct backgrounds and stories, they share a common bond. In business celebrating shared goals and values while respecting individuality can foster a harmonious environment. ⚡️An Evolving Narrative ⚡️ While Grease is a classic some themes might be seen as reflective of the era's limitations in understanding diversity. This serves as a reminder that our perspectives on inclusion are ever-evolving. Businesses must remain adaptable, always open to refining their approach towards diversity and inclusion. ⚡️ Question ⚡️ As senior leaders, when we reflect on our own 'Rydell High' how can we ensure that every member feels valued, understood, and empowered to dance to their own rhythm, while still moving in harmony with the greater story and cast? #leadership

Holi, the vibrant festival of colors, holds some interesting significance in the corporate world, especially for companies with a diverse workforce. Here's how: Building Team Spirit: Holi celebrations can be a fantastic way to break down barriers and encourage employees to bond outside their usual work circles. Throwing colors together creates a sense of fun and camaraderie. Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion: Acknowledging and celebrating Holi shows respect for Indian culture and heritage within the company. It fosters a welcoming environment for employees of all backgrounds. Letting Loose and Having Fun: A well-planned Holi celebration can be a great stress reliever for employees. A little fun and laughter can go a long way in boosting morale and creating a more positive work atmosphere.

McDonald's ads have always ranked high on my personal branding scorecard. I don’t say that merely because I had the privilege of working on their brand business for not one, but TWO advertising agencies. My primary rartinale is that Mickey D’s has mastered cultural lexicon in a way that leaves others in the dust.
