This was my first project created using our open-source creative coding framework, NAP. For this project, I developed a real-time sequencer and timeline editor, enabling Drift to choreograph the block, which performs its own dance on stage. The kinetics of the block and all its movements are computed and visualized in real-time, allowing Drift to create the choreography without the block being physically attached. The motors are controlled using Ethercat with extremely high timing and precision requirements. Both the timeline editor module and the Ethercat module have eventually evolved into open-source modules that anyone can use.
