Keeping our regional communities connected 🔗 Our turboprop aircraft might not get the same attention as some of our bigger aircraft but they actually carry more than 3.5 million people each year, which is far more than our fleet of Airbus A380s! We are investing in more Dash-8 Q400s, which will help keep regional Australia connected to our major cities. Moree in New South Wales was the most recent town to get upgraded to a Q400, and we can’t wait to start flying these to more places. More information here: https://lnkd.in/dmJiGi8t

Coffs Harbour Region has a great partnership with Qantas and is very much looking forward to the new A220 aircraft commencing the Coffs Harbour-Melbourne service in October!

Moree Plains Shire Council is delighted to welcome the new Q400 into service on the Sydney to Moree route following Stage 1 upgrades to the airport. Further Airport infrastructure upgrades will be delivered as part of Stage 2 over the coming months to support the introduction of the second daily Q400 service.

The Dash 8’s across Australia are the backbone of the air transport for regional Australia. Having spent a lot of time on the dash 8’s I appreciate the vital role they play across the nation as well as the crew that operate them everyday.

Perhaps then we may not have the dismal high incidence of late and cancelled planes out of regional airports. I am still stinging from yet another late flight on Friday and a spoilt weekend as my family needed to reschedule their flight to Saturday. As a frequent Qantas flier, my experience over the last twelve months has been 1 in 2 at best of Qantas regional flights has left on time ... 😟

The Dash 8 exemplifies Qantas’s safe and meritorious domestic travel. Its performance and comfort make it a passenger favourite, reinforcing Qantas’ reputation for excellence in Australian aviation, in the last few decades… it’s served Qantas well, especially regional Australians.

I have such fond memories of the Dash 8 Aircraft - it's absolute workhorse of the regional fleet. So great to see this investment in aircraft that enable seamless travel for Australia's regional communities and enables tourism to some of Australia's most beautiful locations. Well done QantasLink.

Congratulations from all of us at AFM – Stay Up To Date With The Pilot Training Industry - hopefully this leads to more opportunities for graduates of the Qantas Pilot Academy

That's great news! Is there any chance QF could lower ticket prices for these regional travelers who have limited air travel options?
