I was really doing some research for The Anniversary Collective on companies celebrating their 100th anniversary in the next few years. In this research, I came across some interesting statistics from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the U.S. Census Bureau: 🎆 Only 36% of companies last 10 years 🎆 Only about 21% of companies make it to their 20th anniversary 🎆 Only about 12% of US companies are older than 26 years It's such an amazing privilege to work with potential clients to determine how we can help celebrate their anniversary milestones, be it the 50-, 75-, or the amazing 100-year mark. 😲 OMG IT HAPPENED 😲 Today was a LOOONG time coming. I had the extreme pleasure during a live launch, of unveiling all the work I have done in building Washington State's Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Workforce Demographics Dashboard! This project has been a LABOR of love 😻, and I’m incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication behind this to make it a reality. This includes my amazing team and our HR department. The intention behind this dashboard was to provide our agency with 1. A baseline into our WF Demographics 2. Valuable insights into our workforce dynamics, helping us better understand where we stand and where we can improve. 3. Data we can use to improve our hiring and development policies and practices. It really is a testament to the agency's commitment to transparency and accountability. I really am in awe that I get to be a part of something as big as building a more inclusive and equitable workplace.
