Recent research conducted by the National Alliance on Mental Illness has revealed alarming statistics: a staggering 40% of transgender adults report having attempted suicide at least once in their lifetime. This statistic isn't simply a number; it represents the immense burden placed on the mental well-being of transgender individuals. Societal prejudice, discrimination, and a lack of access to affirming healthcare create a constant struggle for acceptance and belonging. Imagine living in a world where your identity is questioned, your experiences invalidated, and finding the support you need feels like an uphill battle. At NYC Affirmative, our team of experienced therapists specializes in working with the LGBTQ community, including transgender individuals. We provide a safe and supportive space to explore your identity, navigate challenges, and improve your mental health. We understand the financial burden therapy can pose. NYC Affirmative Psychotherapy offers therapy on a sliding scale, making mental health services more accessible. Click here to schedule a free consultation session: https://buff.ly/2UBYmqA

NHS Industry Advice, Training and Management Consultancy. Strategic insight and troubleshooting for NHS providers, Federations, Networks, Pharma, Med Tech and Device companies.
According to a recent three-year review led by the Centre for Mental Health, NHS Mental Health care could transform through voluntary sector partnerships. The NHS is recommended to strengthen its partnerships with the voluntary and community sector to enhance mental health care. The report highlighted the positive impact of 'alliances' established by Rethink Mental Illness in various regions, allowing services to be tailored by individuals with lived experiences. This approach aims to make mental health services more effective and accessible, ensuring that marginalised groups like LGBTQ and racialised communities are not overlooked. However, the sector's full potential is hindered by uncertainties surrounding long-term funding, including insecure contracts and bureaucratic processes. #mentalhealth
