Curtis Tonks had the honour of presenting one of his educators with a Certificate of Excellence today, celebrating all her hard work throughout the academic year 🏆 He also brought donations for the school’s Summer Fair and whipped up something special to make the gift even more personalised and memorable. 👨🍳 There's nothing more rewarding than showing gratitude and recognising our candidates for their hard work throughout the term, and seeing how much it means to them! #education #rewardingcareer #teachers #appreciation

In the past 12 months, we had over 32K visitors to the Exploradoor platform and connected over 3000 youth to programs on the site. Impressively, Black and Latinx students constituted 75% of our student users and 75% of our users were from Central Indiana. To see more about our work and accomplishments, check out our Annual Report which is attached. This past year we expanded the AmbassaDOOR program which hires high school students as interns to promote Exploradoor to their peers. We were fortunate to receive grant funding to increase the program to 28 interns across 14 Marion County High Schools, but we still need to raise $20,000 towards costs. Here are some of the ways your donation will be used: $25 covers the cost of candy and handouts for student presentations (100 ) $75 covers one outreach event @ schools and community events (we do 30 of these) $100 covers the cost of posters/flyers for schools $100 covers the cost of rack cards used during career fairs/outreach events $1000 goes towards the cost of high school interns for the school year $2000 go towards the cost of college interns (we need 3) We have a matching grant commitment of $3500, so your donation will be matched 1:1 until we exceed the match commitment. Today is LEAD Girls Giving Day! We need your help to build the future leaders in our community! 🚀 ICYMI I'm thrilled to announce that LEAD Girls of NC has earned the prestigious Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency, awarded to less than 1% of nonprofits nationwide. (For reference, there are 1.9 million nonprofits nationwide.) Earning this seal reflects our high level of transparency, integrity, and commitment to sharing important information with the public. But here’s where YOU come in: We’re already 51% of the way to our $25,000 Giving Day goal, and every donation today will be matched up to $10,000. That means your support has DOUBLE the impact. Talk about the joy of giving. By donating today, you’re not just supporting LEAD Girls of NC—you’re investing in the future of girls in our community. Change a girl. Change a community. Change the world. 🌍 Your gift helps equip at-risk, low-income preteen girls with the skills and confidence to thrive as leaders, lifting up not only themselves but their entire communities. Your donation changes a young professional’s path. We’ve seen positive experiences deeply root students in the community, creating a greater likelihood of continuing to invest in purpose-driven work, local communities, and the state following graduation. The Intern Foundry (IF) program is an intentionally designed partnership between the Foundry and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Honors Program to address the “brain drain” in Nebraska by pairing the University's highest-achieving students with meaningful work-based learning opportunities addressing critical areas of high community need. Your Give to Lincoln Day Donation directly impacts the number of students we can support through Intern Foundry. With our goal of $10,000, three new nonprofits will gain interns to address community need, and three incredible young professionals will be given the opportunity and tools needed to make Nebraska their purpose. https://lnkd.in/gFYEQrzX

We’ve all had days where an obstacle pops up we didn’t plan for. Imagine if you weren’t able to get around it no matter how hard you tried. That’s what it’s like for youth and young adults whose light has been dimmed by trauma, low expectations, low academic achievement, and what I call the “thrices” of COVID-19, political polarization and racial inequity. They need faith in their future, in people and in themselves restored. Restorative practice is at the core of our values at The Love Unity & Values Institute. It’s the starting gate of each student’s journey to self-awareness and professional development. At the finish line is an opportunity that will transform their lives. On October 24, the LUV Institute will host its first Restoring LUV Breakfast fundraiser from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Chicago Urban League, 4510 S. Michigan Ave. We’ve set a goal to raise $50,000 to support our professional development and career programs serving youth and young adults ages 14-24. They’ve got big dreams. For $50 for a single ticket, you can help make an impact in their lives. If you're a small business owner who wants to contribute, belong to an affinity group at work that supports youth, or have corporate CSR dollars to spend, we still have sponsorships available for $2500 and $5000. For tickets and information, go to luvinstitute.org. I know that you care about our youth. So, spread the word and make an impact today! #empoweryouth #makeadifference

When all of your planning, meeting, writing and rewriting pays off...
Go Pack Go! College Possible Wisconsin is honored to be among the ten nonprofit organizations to receive an impact grant this year from the Green Bay Packers Foundation. This matching grant supports our statewide expansion efforts in addition to other efforts like career exploration and strengthened support for students transitioning from 2-year to 4-year degree-granting institutions. We are grateful for the Packers and their investment in Wisconsin.

When I was a young warthog... (a 24-year old college student at Rowan University)... I was tasked with creating an original Public Relations plan for a small community group called, "Main Street Woodbury." This non-profit was at the forefront of rejuvenating and reinvigorating the culture of the community's downtown section which had become riddled with crime and decay over the years...(we will not say which way this community leans politically). Anyhow, the part of the plan that had the biggest impact on me was the Potter Box. So simple. Yet, so profound. A true yin and yang analysis of your strategy and how it will move across a marketplace or audience. So, as marketers, how do we find alignment and get to the core of our processes? The answer is simple - we remember why we are doing it. As Pink Floyd once said, "how can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?" That is to say - how can we enjoy the sweet splendors of our victory if we do not dive deeply and fearlessly into the muscly, meaty and often times difficult parts of our intent? It is important as marketers to leave no question unanswered and to actively seek ways to be a faithful steward to your "WHY?"

Nonprofit Solutions 4 organizations: strategic planning, leadership training, & annual giving fundraising best practices. Cost effective donor engagement & web-based fund development system 4 year-end direct mail.
Annual Giving March: Week Two There are two types of Impact Stories that your organization needs to tell. 1) Reporting on the Past 2) Sharing what will happen in the Future You crafted your reporting on the past impact story for your impact piece. Now it is time to start work to share what will happen in the future. This begins with gathering stories. Grab a notebook and sit in a high traffic area of your organization. Just observe. What is happening? Jot down notes of interactions that you see. Bring those notes back and see how these observations align with your annual giving fundraising goal for the year. Maybe you are raising funds for a specific program, maybe you need a new piece of equipment, or maybe you are raising funds for operations- whatever the case, look at your potential story ideas. How do they align? Here is your story formula: The Community has a Problem, Your Organization has the Solution, but Donor Dollars are needed to Implement. Problem, Solution, Implementation The next step is to take the story notes and your fundraising goal to work on your spring appeal. Have a great week and stay tuned for appeal writing tips. #AMPO #annualgiving #fundraising #fundraisingappeals https://lnkd.in/gcDzXjz4
