Let's face the fact that in business if you are not growing you are dying. Even if your revenues are holding steady you are dying. This is a truth that so many business owners understand but put out of their minds on a daily basis. Every business in America starts with the hopes and dreams of their founder or founders. The beginning of the business is exciting, and the creativity of its owners is high. Everyone is excited and the business may grow quickly if the owner has found a good business niche. Over the history of the business the owner adds employees and enjoys the profits of their successes. Times are good and everyone is happy. Maybe too happy! We all hope that our businesses will prosper, however, because of personal issues, health problems, loss of employees, changes in market niches and so on, many businesses are not able to recover if their revenues have topped-off or are falling. If you find yourself in a position where you are not growing year after year and you don't have a credible idea on how to turn things around right away, then you need to sell. Sell today as you don't want lose out on the hard-earned equity you've built-up in your business. You might be losing money that could guarantee a comfortable retirement or help your kids with college. Life insurance yes, that time again, is not just some fancy words that we all need to get into our skulls to truly need, want and be privileged to even have. There needs to be a #law someday very soon that makes us all get life insurance. It's without a shadow of a doubt one of the most important things that will ever need to be paid for on a day when your #family is gonna have the absolute #worst day of their lives! I'm not talking make believe fear i only deal with the 100% #factual #fear the real live shivers down your spine keeping you up at night wondering what will happen to your family not IF but WHEN something BAD happens to you or your loved one. No one wants to think about insurance and getting it plus where do u start ugh i have to find an agent just forget it till next year. #Bang you go to the #doctor ,always a fun place to be, he tells you well MR. Hoff the MRI and scans aren't what we thought looks like you have about well id say 8 months to live 2 years if your lucky and we do this and that...... If your like MR. Hoff who just heard that you wouldn't be even hearing the Dr. anymore because your imagining all the time you are gonna be missing with your #wife, #children, #momanddad, #husband, #significantother, #cousins, whatever your case may be. well Mr. Hoff in this scenario would be seeing his family having to bury him, not be able to afford it, have to barely scrape together the money if they are lucky to get #cremation done when the family really wanted a service and funeral. they have to move because the economy inflation is getting worse without his income and they only have one parents income left to rely on. making stress and grief worst beyond measure doing unimaginable damage to the family which is the worst because you cant fix it with money or any time that's lost. We all think we are gonna live for considerable more time than what we are taking for #granted here on this #earth and ill tell you from my experience a Life insurance #premium needs to be as important as things like your #mortgage, the #power bill, #cellphone, think like the most important bills of all, THE PEACE OF MIND PROVIDER BILL!!! Hey Insurance Family! 👋 I've got a quick favor to ask. My daughter in college (who's super ambitious with tons of hustle), just got her license to be a life insurance specialist in TX. Why? To help with tuition costs and keep debt down. Her plan? To team up with independent agencies that offer all lines but might not have the bandwidth nor staff for life insurance. She's thinking of stepping in to offer life insurance reviews, especially to clients who own businesses, homeowners, those turning 50, or somewhere in between. She believes it could boost the agency’s retention, revenue and her own income. It would involve her both setting up email campaigns, web intake forms and personal handholding. Here's where your feedback could help: Sound like a solid plan? What types of agencies should she approach? Any typical arrangements she should look into? Just hear me out - the majority of people need life insurance. That’s why almost every job offers you some.. it’s not enough and it’s not the best, but they give it as a benefit to attract you to working there - because you need it!! So do this exercise to figure out how much you need.. L.I.F.E. L = LOANS - count up all you owe that would need paid if you passed away I = INCOME replacement - this is where your job usually supplies one year of income, but that’s a minimum.. Dave Ramsey recommends 20 years and most financial advisors worth their salt will say at least 10 years. F = FUNERAL - who did you last bury? How much did it cost? E = Everything Else - have a daughter you want to give money to for her wedding? Sons first car? Prom dress? First year or all of college? Add it up! Everyone thinks they are going to make it home tonight, the fact is that some sadly will not. Another year nearly in the books! As another year rapidly draws to a close, I wanted to wish my colleagues, clients, and business partners a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 2023 certainly has been an interesting year. In my nearly 30 years in the insurance industry, this one has been one of the most challenging. I guess why it is termed a “hard market.” The last time the insurance markets hit a difficult time that I can remember, I was working as a “captive” agent (only represent one company). Our only option then was to adjust coverage and change deductibles. As an independent agent, I now have several companies to choose from. And while the majority are facing some challenges, some are better positioned than others to withstand the storm. (Did you know that at least 4 carriers have stopped writing new business for personal Auto and Home in Wisconsin?) I appreciate the trust you have placed in me as your insurance professional, and I look forward to a better 2024.

Don’t underestimate the importance of having quality life insurance within your financial plan. I’ve sold a lot of insurance policies during my career. I’ve paid more than my share of claims, unfortunately. One thing I’m very clear about: Money can’t replace a lost spouse, father, mother, child, etc—but it can take the financial worries off the table, especially if proper insurance planning is done, and allow the survivors to focus on mourning and the other decisions that need to be made. This is such an important piece of a plan-and often overlooked because of a “policy through work,” or a “policy my parents bought me.” Or just general apathy and ignorance about the product. Default planning is not real planning. And benefits through work are perks, not your financial plan.
